WesMorganGod Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Aguero is the one player in the PL I genuinely fear at the moment, he's a special footballer Keep him quiet and there's no reason we can't snatch 3 points Agreed, Aguero worries me, he really is class and he can change the games on his own. IF we can keep Aguero quiet then we have a great chance to now just draw but win.
st albans fox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Kompany back in training unless he's been in full training for a good few days, they wont risk him
UPinCarolina Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 unless he's been in full training for a good few days, they wont risk him Certainly hope you're right. He's the soul of that defense - they are vulnerable without him.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Could do that with a five man midfield on Saturday, and Kante man-marking Aguero. That would be a waste of Kante in my opinion... if we were to that, I'd draft someone in to do that job specifically - Was for example! BUT, that then reduces options to pass to and affects your shape both defensively and attacking wise really so I'm not sure it's the way to go. Plus, there's Silva - probably the bigger key to City as he's the one that makes them tick - yes Aguero finishes off the moves, but most will originate from that little magician.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 unless he's been in full training for a good few days, they wont risk him Wouldn't mind if they did risk him and it went wrong (again!). Not that you should really be wishing injury on anyone.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I will be very happy with a draw, but I can dream!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I will be very happy with a draw, but I can dream!Any sort of result up there would be amazing DT I agreeHow are you anyway?
Bluetintedspecs Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Man City have all the pressure and this will play inti our hands. Fancy us to nck this COYB
RowlattsFox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I'm nervous because a bad weekend of results could see Arsenal and Spurs 2 points behind and United 7. 7 is still a decent amount but it will appear to be nothing having been 10 ahead.

I'm nervous too. A point will be a good result. But fear not Lawro has us down to lose 2-1. So we should get at least a point.
weller54 Posted 4 February 2016 Author Posted 4 February 2016 I'm nervous too. A point will be a good result. But fear not Lawro has us down to lose 2-1. So we should get at least a point. Chelsea will beat United!!
SecretPro Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I don't mind the result, I do mind Spurs gaining on us though, I want them to drop off, dramatically. Would much rather United finish 4th.
biggs Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Feeling confident we will take them at their ground. The way we play will cause their defense all sorts of problems. Win written all over this. Yes we are that good
st albans fox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 think we will play the same tactics as at home. force them to go wide by filling up central midfield and challenge them to get behind our full backs. vardy wasn't fit at the home fixture. he can play from the start and then shinji once vards is spent. most of us would like to play 4-4-1-1 like we have been but Claudio learned from the arsenal fixture that taking these top sides on in a game of basketball is very dangerous. the secret of this fixture is not to lose
Fox92 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Would take a draw, easily. I look at the positives and remember this is a team that conceded 4 at home to Liverpool and 2 at home to West Ham. If we win, or maybe even score, there will be scenes. I'm very excited for Saturday.
biggs Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 the secret of this fixture is not to lose Can't play like that though......our defense is strong. Last 10 matches we've out scored the opposition 15 - 5
fuchsntf Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I'm nervous too. A point will be a good result. But fear not Lawro has us down to lose 2-1. Weller in Tights Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 My main thought for this game is that I am so pissed off I didn't get tickets. I'm a season ticket holder, so I go all the home games, I tend to go between 4-8 away games a season, to be honest taking me and my son to away games can cost over £100 ( tickets, food, travel, drinks etc), so there is clearly a financial restriction. But why oh why am I worrying about money now!! I am 55, I have loved following City home and away no matter how good or bad we were. The best seasons were those under Bloomfield and O'Neill for me. BUT THIS SEASON IS WITHOUT DOUBT THE BEST FOOTBALL I HAVE EVER SEEN CITY PLAY. Sod the money, I do not want to miss another game of this season, if I can help it. I've got my Arsenal tickets and I will now try to get to all the rest of the away games. This could easily be the greatest season of my life...... UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!
st albans fox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Can't play like that though......our defense is strong. Last 10 matches we've out scored the opposition 15 - 5 Just telling what I think the manager will be thinking.
turtmcfly Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 most of us would like to play 4-4-1-1 like we have been but Claudio learned from the arsenal fixture that taking these top sides on in a game of basketball is very dangerous. Taking them on 4-4-1-1 with de Laet and Schlupp as full backs is definitely very dangerous. Taking them on with a Simpson and Fuchs as part of a defence that's let in 1 in the last 6 games is surely much less so. Whether it's still too risky is your call, but for me, with De Bruyne out and most likely the world record holder for slowest-to-get-off-the-floor-after-he's-fallen-over-again playing for much of the game I really think we can beat these playing our 'usual' way.
Nick Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 We go 442. Play them at football. We just have to score 1 more than them. Simples.
Great Boos Up Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Same team as Liverpool. The same concentration. No fear and go to win. 1-2.
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Same team, same tactics. Get at em. Amartey to come on when we're two up.
