NewEnglandFox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 I don't think Amartey's first minutes for us are going to in our biggest game of the season when we have a fully fit squad. Inler for me if we go with a loan striker.
foxfanazer Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 4-4-2 Fearless! Lets believe this and attack them. We are here on merit
WesMorganGod Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 If Vardy gets a run on Demechelis or Mangala then he will rip them to shreds, he is way too fast for them, they are slow and sluggish, both of them. Kompany is not back for 2 weeks thankfully. Aguero worries me, he is class, he is in very good form too.. he will be hard to stop, but I believe in Morgan and he will stop him. And anyway Vardy is top scorer in the prem so they should be more fearful of our striker. I'll be very happy with a draw, if we get a draw I will treat it as a win. Another thing guys pleaseeee don't be fooled by their narrow win at Sunderland, because Man City at home and Man City away are night and day, almost a different team. They have the best home record in the prem, its only away when they have problems.
UPinCarolina Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Their defense is prime for the taking. We can put 2-3 on them, I suspect. Let's go in and let it rip.
Raw Dykes Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 I'll take a draw for both the next 2 games. If we win them both I probably won't be able to sleep until May. Same. It would be great to just avoid defeat in the next two. If we can win one I'll be ecstatic. Win both and I think my mind will snap, but it will be worth it.
Raw Dykes Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 One draw please. I know we're shit at 433 but I dont want to lose and Amartey needs to start his part-ey Kasper Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Amartey Kante Drinkwater Mahrez Vardy Albrighton Drop Okazaki? 4-3-3? What is this?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Given Rachel's a United supporter, we may have her support in both mind and body this time! I don't dare envisage getting anything more than a point however - I'd happily accept a drab 0-0 right now. One thing that I feel could be in our favour - it's an early, Saturday morning kick off. I'm hoping it means the light blue City end up feeling subdued / still in bed.
chicagofox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Must win game.No it isntIt has to be an unchanged starting 11. With Inler and/or Ameartey on the bench for midfield reinforcement if necessary.
LCFCSOULBOY Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Just hope we don't give them the space in and around the box as we have given Liverpool today. Feel Aguero will punish us. He only needs an inch of space to sod you
lgfualol Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Drop Okazaki? 4-3-3? What is this? A reason I'm not the manager
SheppyFox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Don't give them too much credit hopefully because their defence is vulnerable for sure.
simon789us Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Very tough game keep playing as we can hoping for at least a point
Nalis Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Still think we'll lose but not a crisis by any means. 2-0, Aguero brace.
st albans fox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 I suspect rainieri will play the same way as the home fixture with Inler brought in to hold, unless amartey is considered fit enough. if we defend short corners 2 v 3 as we did last night, they will rack up a lot of goals. pelegrini won't miss that on the video. It happened enough times and they have the personnel to exploit it.
ozleicester Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 lets face it... who is most nervous about this game. weve got nothing to lose Lets throw everything at them, hammer them from the first whistle, take chances (leave 3 up for corners etc), if we go in front, they will be panicking.
Buce Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 I don't think Amartey's first minutes for us are going to in our best game of the season when we have a fully fit squad. Inler for me if we go with a loan striker. The transfer window is shut..
foxes161 Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 No nerves here we aren't expected to win there hardly anybody ever does. Just enjoy the day and who knows what happens
Ric Flair Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 I liken this game to the away one at Burnley 2 seasons ago when they were claiming they'd get the win that would put pressure on our title chances, we binned them off with an easy 2-0 win and I fancy the same again. Vardy and Mahrez.
goose2010 Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 People suggesting changing the team?! madness its a free hit! go 4-4-2 leave 3 up on every corner just go balls out full attack. No body has done this to Man City this season and think it would disrupt their style. Really looking forward to it. Win lose or draw we will still be top (or joint top) at 6 o'clock Saturday.
Aeropars Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 The worst thing we can do here is go with a 4-3-3. What worked so well against Liverpool was the constant pressing from both Vardy and Okazaki up front meaning their defence could never rest easy. Vardy as the lone striker has never worked and we wil just be inviting pressure with no outlet if we do set-up like that.
MC Prussian Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Aguero has a knock apparently Got tripped the hard way by Billy Jones yesterday - ripped his sock open! I remember the BBC live feed saying something along the line of a sluggish Yaya Touré being made a spectator by Lamine Koné. The whole Manchester City squad is somewhat scraping by, and that also because of some absences. We're lucky De Bruyne is out injured for a while, apart from Agüero, he's been the most lively player on their books this season. I do hope we approach this with both cheerfulness and respect. I can but assume we'll revert back to a 4-1-4-1, with maybe Inler playing right in front of our back four.
dylanlegend Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 0-2. We are back to our best and playing away / Man City is perfect for our counter attacking style. Also they are playing pretty poorly atm. Sunderland had a fair few chances and with the manager situation they are there for the taking. We need to go for it, nothing to lose really To be fair a draw would also be a decent result, keep them 3 pts away from us. If we win though.... 6 points clear of them!
