Leicesterpool Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 It's going to be a tight affair but I think this is the type of game where Man City struggle with the pressure and slip up, so dare I say the scoreline!... 2-0 Foxes!
cjslcfc Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Biggest game since...? Stoke 2008? Tranmere 2000? Man City 1969? We're going away to the league favourites, 3 points clear at the top of the league in February. It's an unimaginably and improbably big game yet (admirably) nobody seems to be talking about it in these terms? I know it's just "another 3 points" but the consequences of a win would go far beyond that. Would be interested to know others' thoughts - is it actually only the biggest game since Tuesday? Am I massively over-selling this? I think most of us are trying to look at it as a normal game as that's how we've been doing it all season. No one wants to change anything. Just be without fear and tackle it head on rather than worrying about the significance of it. (Yes I'm bricking it!)

Am I massively over-selling this? In terms of if we win I do think that would be massive, because of the position we would then be in. But if we lose it wont be the end of the world IMO. We would still be level on points going into Arsenal. Man City have Spurs next weekend so we are not the only ones at the top with two big games in a row.
Grey Fox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Oh, well aware. Really doubt he gets dropped though given he's their captain, but I certainly wish there was playing time available for him. Claudio's comments about envisioning Inler in a 3-5-2 says it all. Benny was probably purchased under that same pretense, as the ball-playing complement to Huth and Wes. What did he say?
Grey Fox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Agree- same team as last night. We are so much more threatening with 2 up top and I don't think the extra midfielder helps us much? Just confuses things. We look pretty solid playing 4-4-2 I agree as well. The times we have tried 3 in the middle haven't really worked IMO. Even in the home game we switched it to 442 and only then did we start to push them back. We paid them too much respect in the first half of that game for me. It's strange to think we have only conceded one league goal since we played them last. Ironically against bloody Villa! We should have less pressure than them. They are the ones expected to win the game. As CR says, we have no pressure compared. They have their threats but so do we. I hope we set up exactly the same as against Liverpool and put in a similar level of effort. If we do we have a real chance of a famous win.
fuchsntf Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 People suggesting changing the team?! madness its a free hit! go 4-4-2 leave 3 up on every corner just go balls out full attack. No body has done this to Man City this season and think it would disrupt their style. Really looking forward to it. Win lose or draw we will still be top (or joint top) at 6 o'clock Saturday. No by 3pm, when others kick off.......12:45 ko
AyewJoking Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 could be dangerous because we dont need to win so Ranieri may change the system/players. I would love to see us go for it as i think we would beat them or at the very least it would be an entertaining match. ive gone for a tight 0-0.
johnny the fox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Aguero needs to go away. hope the injury he seemed to pick up at sunderland gets worse by saturday.
roblcfc84 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Need to set the tone early, press their defence and avoid the high line.
whetstonefox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Not sure the country could cope if we win on Saturday
roblcfc84 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Not sure the country could cope if we win on Saturday I think the neutrals would be buzzing - everyone i know who doesnt support us are cheering for us. Even my step dad who supports forest
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I just hope we don't set up too negative with 5 across the middle. Settling for a 0-0 will make for an excruciating 90 mins. But in Claudio we trust!
Reg Vardy Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Tottenham v Man City next Saturday, weekend we play Arsenal.......could really be interesting if we do get something Saturday.......come on!!!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I'm going to be confident and say 3-1 win, think they are going to play into our hands and push high up exposing themselves at the back. They looked under so much pressure when Sunderland went for them last game. De Bruyne and Komoany missing makes them very vulnerable.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I'm hoping we just go at them and play our game, don't think I can take us sitting back and trying to defend and take a 0-0.
Buce Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I think the neutrals would be buzzing - everyone i know who doesnt support us are cheering for us. Even my step dad who supports forest Brave of you to admit that. I guess ever family has its Black Sheep.
bridport007 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I am trying to take the stress out of the next two matches by thinking along the lines of...before the 3 matches, I probably wouldn't of been too unhappy with draws against Liverpool M.City and the Arse. So the fact we beat Liverpool, we now have the 3 points. Anything else out of the next two games will have me reaching for my sock of love but, if we don't get anything, then it's not the end of the world.
LCFC FOX Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 A draw would be a great result for us. Same eleven as last game I'd just bring Amarty onto the bench.
kingcarr21 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 People saying they would take a draw. NEVER. We are in the season of our lives and a win on Saturday would be a massive statement of intent. All the pressure is on Man City. We can play our own game and take it to them. If we lose then so be it there are plenty of games after this one where teams can drop points. This really isn't a must win game. Their defence is suspect and are there for the taking. Mahrez will be the star of the show just you wait and see. 0-3 Mahrez brace and Vardy penalty. BELIEVE.
M0901 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Aguero is the one player in the PL I genuinely fear at the moment, he's a special footballer Keep him quiet and there's no reason we can't snatch 3 points
Guest Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 will be happy with a 1-1 draw. It's away from home against our biggest rivals for the title.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Aguero is the one player in the PL I genuinely fear at the moment, he's a special footballer Keep him quiet and there's no reason we can't snatch 3 points Aguero is the best player in the world for meLike you say keep him quiet and we have half a chance hopefully
