Bespoke Puma kit - Surely now is the time?

Someone's posted a picture of it online

I'll wait to see the shorts and socks but I am becoming happier with it. Gold being used in limited amounts for details is okay IMO. It's the large blocks of gold I'm not keen on. If the lettering on the back is white then I think you could quite reasonably claim that white is the secondary colour of this kit. That would be good enough for me.

There you go again. Unable to answer people's criticisms, you put on an air of superiority in the hope that the more gullible posters will see it as a good response.

It's not an air of superiority, it IS superiority. If you think a bit of gold trim on a football kit is any kind of problem, you're an absolute Muppet.

What argument do you want me to present? Do you want a ten thousand word thesis on why giving two ****s about a minor detail makes you a bit of a pratt?

You could easily give me a pretty full response in less than four sentences. Just to reiterate my own opinion, I think that the owners may be replacing our traditional secondary colour of white with gold. I see that as a problem as I consider white to be part of the club's identity and would prefer not to see the colour changed.

If you want to challenge this view you can either tell me why I'm wrong to think that replacing white with gold is an issue OR why I'm wrong to think that it's happening at all.

so we have a whole kit that's white this season (3rd kit), but you think they're replacing our tradition?

To me the away kits aren't anywhere near as important in terms of our identity. It's not demanded that any particular colour is included on them, most people think it's perfectly okay to play around with them within reason. That's quite different to the situation with home kits where using the club's colours is seen as compulsory.

Anyway, thank you for actually giving me a response.

no problem. I still disagree that they're replacing our tradition. If you look at Cardiff, that's totally changing the identity and tradition. Taking out a bit of white and replacing it with a bit of gold isn't that much of a big deal. Taking out the blue from the home kit would be, however.

Also, the home kit last season had white shorts. If the owners wanted to change/replace our identity/tradition, they wouldn't have gone with white shorts.

All he's done is comment on the kit, he's hardly said he's gonna write a letter of complaint.

Nothing wrong with caring what our kit looks like.

Will the club actually tell us when the shirts will be available to buy ;)

If anything like last season the shirt will be on sale in the shop and online before we are told it's available to buy
