The Doctor Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Dunno who said it in the match thread, but that red card could be a blessing in disguise. Simpson's been great but Amartey could give us something extra. Bit like our great escape really. James injury allowed Kingy to come into the side and he was perfect next to Cambiasso. The great escape was already well under way and almost complete when James got injured - he got injured vs southampton, the following week safety was mathematically confirmed.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Who voted Liam Moore? Get out. Harsh. Ranieri could turn him into a much better player in the same way as Wes. He has shown enough potential to be given a chance if he works hard.
turtmcfly Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Wonder if we'll be needing cover for Drinkwater too...

Not the type of game to be messing around with players who either don't look committed or are clearly not YET good enough.

King came into the side before the injury, but his performances next to Cambiasso were class.Fresh blood in Amartey might be what we need!
UPinCarolina Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Do we know that Amartey is... A) Ready to play? B) Ready to start? Big question marks, IMO.
Stadt Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 wasyl at fightback would be horrendous, it was pretty awful to watch in the championship
Webbo Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Do we know that Amartey is... A) Ready to play? B) Ready to start? Big question marks, IMO. I don't believe he was injured when we signed him and he'll have been with us a month by the next game. No reason to believe he isn't ready.
Captain... Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Do we know that Amartey is... A) Ready to play? B) Ready to start? Big question marks, IMO. He has 2 weeks to show he is ready, if not Albrighton to fill in for me.
Webbo Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 wasyl at fightback would be horrendous, it was pretty awful to watch in the championship Freudian slip?
Harry - LCFC Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 wasyl at fightback would be horrendous, it was pretty awful to watch in the championship I dunno you know, he's probably the best player in the team at that sort of thing
lgfualol Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Amartey. Wasilewski is no RB anymore, Moore isn't good enough and relying on Albrighton to play in a new position could be trouble.
Lcfc_1995 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Sanchez was having so much of the ball down Wasyl's side today when he came on, think he's a bit of a liability however, I would go for Amartey
Raw Dykes Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Ideal debut for Amartey. A home game against an opponent we should be looking to beat with 2 weeks preparation. Even if he was fit, the last 3 matches weren't really the sort of games you want to be throwing young players into the deep end of.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 The reason RDL was allowed out on loan was down to Amarteys arrival, He will be our first choice RB next season.
lee7 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Albrighton makes too many rash challenges and dives in far too often to play right back. His passing would be good but I think one v one he would give away too many fouls. Was is simply too slow to play right back. So for me it would have to be Amartey.
ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Is this a serious vote? We signed someone who plays right back for 5m, got rid of the only other player who has played RB this season? and we're playing Norwich at home next game? If Armartey is fit, he starts end of.
sdb Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 A lot going for Amartey - pretty big call. Was amazed we let Benney and RDL go. Not looking too smart now. I think i'd put Fuchs there and play Chilwell LB. Out of those options probably Albrighton.

sdb Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Why is it? Because he's not played a single second of football for us. Or in this division. Or even this country. Big gamble to throw anyone in, especially a young defender. Who isn't predominantly a RB.

If Armartey is fit, he starts end of. he is primarily a CB, who has played mostly DM this season and can play right back he is by no means an out and out full back
LAprice_ Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Just put Kante at right-back. And Kante in central midfield. And Kante on the left-wing. And Kante up front.
