DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Another plus of that result and others today... takes some pressure of Swansea, anything they can get at WHL would be a gain on those below them.
Danno Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Can't wait for Norwich to fvck off so no one has to watch Russell Martin and Cameron Jerome struggle to play football again.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Great cross from albrighton by the way, with his quality of cross they're much better when fired in straight away instead of when he has to cut onto his right.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Leicester City vs Norwich City 1-0 Highlights http://sportyhighlights.com/leicester-vs-norwich-highlights/ How did you manage to stretch that out to 4:45?
CloudFox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 very impressed with schlupp today..looked like had never had a layoff..Schlupp played really well I thought. Forgot how much we missed his impact! I think Amartey did alright too, even more so considering the circumstances. Don't think he's a natural right back though, and was a bit shocked to see Naismith out pace him! Thought he was quicker.
ScouseFox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 boss. we were pretty crap but that wipes arsenal from everyone's mind surely. 5 clear. feels like ages since we won in the last minute. villa comeback the last one? really thought we looked lost and like we were on the verge of giving up from about 75-85 but we had it in us to go for one last push and oooh his name is leooonardooooo
Rincewind Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 All credit to Norwich. They played well and made it tough for us. Some my say they were unlucky not to get a point but City have had many games where they played well but conceded a last minute goall
lnkstern Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Good win, when we arguably didn't deserve to get one. Schlupp looked lively -- he and Fuchs worked well together on the left. Jamie worked hard but didn't see as much of the ball as he normally does. Leo doing just what a poacher/striker should do, get into position and hope the ball makes it to you. Happy in Colorado.
filbertway Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Somehow we have come away with 3 points when it could so easily have been 0 if Cameron Jerome wasn't Cameron Jerome. Thought Amartey did quite well. Seemed to have a tendancy to drift inside a little, but it's his first proper game playing with everyone and I have no doubt once he becomes more sure of himself he'll be a top player for us.
Aus Fox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Is Cameron Jerome the worst player to play regularly in the premier league? Absolutely stealing a living. I think if Norwich had a better option they would be OK. They kept Drinkwater quiet and surrounded him every time he got the ball. Thought we looked solid at the back for most of it, Simpson will come back in on Wednesday I'd imagine. Vardy and Mahrez were kept quiet. Okazaki looked good again. Champions win games late and that you perhaps shouldn't win. Well clear of 5th place now, 11 to play hopefully either or both of Arsenal and Spurs can drop points tomorrow
Durnerz Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Don't feel too sorry for them - yes they came to a job, but football is a lot poorer when teams come with no real desire to win. The defence first situation was clearly drilled into the players so much that a lot of them forgot that they might be able to attack when they had clear possession. Were we watching the same game? Norwich had the better opportunities and were not parking the bus, yes they were shit in attack for the most part but their game plan worked against our lacklustre performance. Credit to them for having a go and staying disciplined and credit to us for taking our chance when it came.
possiblygeorge Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Kante, Amartey, incredible i thought. Who was given MOTM? Kante, surely. Some here, or a lot, give Ulloa a lot of s**t. I've said it a few times. If he can sort his Football out he'll be an absolute star. Don't care what anyone says, he's a f**king superstar.
Socks Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Much better in the last quarter of the game. Abd got the win. Lucky but pleased !! Good subs and management by CR Dont do that against west brom. The break knacked us up
ARM1968 Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Love that. One game and Amartey isn't good enough? Harry H Christ on a pogo stick of doom. He will be quality given time. Wait and see. Thrown in here a bit tbf and we keep a clean sheet.
Tincy Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Ohhhhh his name is Leonardooooooo!!!!!! £90 won
Shamomoa Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Is Cameron Jerome the worst player to play regularly in the premier league? Absolutely stealing a living. Webbo Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Just had a real Leicester love in on Final Score.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Adds huge pressure to both Arsenal and Spurs... think man city will not come close and go for the CL which in my opinion would be right
TheMightySystem Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Cracking win but let's not let the goal disguise what was a pretty poor performance from us. Tempo and invention was lacking in our game today. Amarty hasn't convinced me he is BPL quality. Still early days but he was ball watching way too much and not getting stuck in. Expect Simpson to return. Onwards and upwards! Probably been said by others and im sure you dont mean he wont become premier league quality but he is still quite young at 21, as well as moving to a new country where the football is alot quicker, I would say he had an ok debut and pushed up the pitch to try and offer another option. Agree though Simpson in on tuesday.
possiblygeorge Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Phew. That was too close, we did not look ourselves. We'll need Ulloa on Tuesday against the mighty bus, so him scoring goals is good news. Thought Mahrez and Fuchs didn't have their best games but were still good. Morgan was solid. Drinkwater did what he could despite being mobbed every time and Vardy was starved of service. Amartey was great for his debut too, but I don't think RB is his place I don't think we saw anything close to how good he can be. Said in in the first 20 minutes, Fuchs had a really off game. Didn't go right for him. Albrighton not too good either, i thought.
BecauseOfBoxingDay Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Didn't play well but got the result. Great to see Jeff back. Get the feeling there'll be a few more games like that coming up.
filbertway Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Credit to Leo for getting himself in there and putting away one of the crosses. Was frustrating when he gave away a needless foul which wasted a precious minute at the end, but he more than made up for that. I'm 100% sure West Brom will score a set piece against us next week.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Love that. One game and Amartey isn't good enough? Harry H Christ on a pogo stick of doom. He will be quality given time. Wait and see. Thrown in here a bit tbf and we keep a clean sheet. He showed good stuff just light weight and didn't seem willing to get stuck in, that I'm sure will come though
maynefox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 No we didn't deserve to win that I'm afraid. Too many players were sloppy and looked liked they had too much pizza in Dubai. I'm glad Leo got the winner. I'm a big fan of his game play and I'm happy he's managed to put a smile on the "Ulloa-haters". Play like that against West Brom, I wouldn't be surprised if we lost.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 well this win was massive.... it will do wonders for the team morale. After a late defeat to Arsenal this is the best way to win.... even better than hammering a team. Winning late like this will be great and the manner of winning will help us keep beleiving when we come against other teams who want to defend deep.... like WBA..... If we can break WBA down on Tuesday night that will be a big acheivment
