nnfox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 This is huge. Spurs and Arsenal would have been watching and thinking that a draw for us could see either of them go top tomorrow. To score in the last minute like that is a huge boost for us and a big blow for them. Now they both need a win to stay in touch. It's like we scored against Norwich, Arsenal and Spurs at the same time. Awesome!
Shinji-San Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 very impressed with schlupp today..looked like had never had a layoff.. Yep, looked sharp
desertfox2 Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Phew. That's a result of a top side though. Well done Ranieri on the subs, was worrying when 4 mins injury time came up though can't even remember a yellow card can't see why there were 4 mins added on.
LanguedocFox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 For the first time in my life I'll be cheering Man U . Get used to it Webbo. They've got to play Spurs, Man City, and West Ham yet!
Webbo Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Get used to it Webbo. They've got to play Spurs, Man City, and West Ham yet! I'll do it through gritted teeth.
LanguedocFox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Isn't it amazing that all the people in the matchday thread, who seemed to take great delight in us not winning during the game haven't posted yet? Turds Took the words out of my mouth! We do have a substantial minority of miserable fvckers in our online fan base.
Shaq Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Really looking forward to watching the bellends on TalkNorwichCity now
Foxxed Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Great that we won. But we were tactically outplayed. This is how teams will beat us. Or at least frustrate us. Play our style of football against. We have few ways of breaking them down. Once Norwich got most of their players behind the ball, Mahrez was our only outlet. Perhaps Gray--as a sub--could do the same on the other side.
Danizen Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 @@Midlands yellow Come and tell us how lucky we were and how much you hate us, pal.
Foxxed Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 If Norwich only had decent strikers they could have beaten us. This is what worries me about our remaining games. Lower teams can just play three deep defenders back to snub out Vardy, and get everyone behind the ball when not in possession. I'd almost prefer to play better teams who'll take possession and let us play our usual game. We need to improve our plan B.
Mythyaar Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 We were very poor today, incredibly rusty and really Norwich didn't deserve to lose, same as we didn't v Arsenal so we're square now! Amartey sadly didn't cut it, was even refusing balls from Schmeichel. Schluppy was direct and looked our main threat last 10 even if his decision making wasn't always the best. Glad he s back in the squad though. Kante was subbed, praying not injured !
Finn Claw II Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Do West Brom have the pace in the team to play like that? I'm not sure. I don't think you learn to play 3-5-2 overnight also. Defending set pieces will be key. The problem with playing like Norwich is that if you concede, you have to completely change the set-up.
Strokes Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 I thought we did alright in difficult circumstances but a few key players weren't their usual selves today. Drinkwater will be pleased to see the back of that game for sure.

fuchsntf Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 It was s obvious, that Norwich would come with a game Plan, holding back but still moving the ball. This was a test for the fans, as much as the players. The real locals on this forum, tend to be more level headed, others forget we havent played well with more possesion at all this season. Next week give WBA the ball or at least 60%:possesion... NOW its squad time, Claudio said just after xmas, subs will play major roles, and the 'team' will be 14-15 players, not just 11. Some said Albrighton and Mahrez were poor, not in my eyes, they opened up chances, but were well Marshalled. We saw a good debut, nothing special, but 1st game from Ami. We might want to see Ulloa a bit earlier, but I would still start with Shinji. Schlupp, did well after such a long lay off.

TheSomersetFox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 don't care that we were pretty poor today, we've just done what Fergie's united teams did for years. buzzing Tuesday will be very difficult.
Bevan Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Think people are being a bit harsh on amartey, he wasn't incredible but was fairly solid. His first ever game in England

SpacedX Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Isn't it amazing that all the people in the matchday thread, who seemed to take great delight in us not winning during the game haven't posted yet? Turds Just got back and been reading that - and it's ****ing embarrassing. Absolute ****ing disgrace. Thank **** they stay away on match day. Granted, we made heavy work of this but Norwich set up well and kept their shape and were unlucky not to score through Redmond's excellent effort. Credit to them. One abiding memory I'll take from today...Vards legged up behind a Norwich player in their own half in what only can be described as a a Kante-esque tackle, dispossessed him sprayed it wide to Albrighton and within seconds was somehow on the end of the cross in the six yard box. It all happened in about five seconds. Guarantee they'll omit it on MOTD. Though not pretty, these are the sort of ground out results that win titles. Get used to them.

Matt Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Wow, wow, wow, thought it was a boring game tbh, open but boring, a 0-0 was probably a fair result, but fuck it, we snatched a winner!!! They came for the draw, that was quite clear to see and I was quite disappointed that I thought they were gonna succeed with their plan but bang! Down you go Nawrich!! As for Ulloa, I really don't understand the criticism he gets, now I am usually quite critical of our players but I don't have a problem with Ulloa, glad he scored today (For more reason's than 1!), I can understand people's groan when he starts agreed, he's not a starter but off the bench I have no problems with him, I actually like him off the bench.
