DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 We could do with getting Saido in a strop and not wanting to play again. Any ideas?
Foxxed Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Ulloa pace isn't as good as Shinji's, but with any team that parks the bus, that may not be as necessary.
NoFuchsGiven Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Hate West Brom more than anyone in the prem! no doubt they'll park the bus but i reckon we will score early and go on to win this 3-0.
themightyfin Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Glad we have the option of 352 again.........it may be needed Where do you get this from? At no point today did we go 3-5-2 where do people get this from? 3-5-2 is over CR does not like it
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Will be a really really tough game Winnable though Up the Foxes
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 West Brom are closer to the Champions League places than we are to 5th.
deep blue Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Where do you get this from? At no point today did we go 3-5-2 where do people get this from? 3-5-2 is over CR does not like it Given the personnel after the final substitution, didn't 3-5-2 seem the most likely formation?
HighPeakFox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Did we go 433 when Amartey, Kante and Shinji were all off?
WesMorganGod Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 This will be difficult, they will be very defensive as they always are, IF we don't get a goal in the first 30 minutes then the game will become a slog. I would gladly take another scrappy 1-0 as we did today against Norwich. just get the 3 points!!.
glenelgfox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Kante will be a big loss but rather rest him and not risk him at home. Todays result would have been a reality check (even if the playing group were aware pre-match) about the teams lower in the league scrapping and fighting and trying to negate our so far season successful style. , Looking at the stats - we had plenty of possession for once but as the league stats show our pass completion / conversion is horrible. That is one area on Tues night if we improve will reap us far more opportunities. Might have to be prepared to dig into the trenches and fight hard for the points but that is going to be the case not just Tues but through to the end of the season. We have shown we are good enough, we noot quit or hang our heads and todays result surely gives them even more belief. What a season!
Corky Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Ulloa isn't amazing in the air but will offer more of a presence than Okazaki, plus his defensive work is useful. Anticipating another slog, would take a 1-0 all day long (just a bit earlier please).
GingerrrFox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Kante could be a doubt for Tuesday night, in which case I'd go: Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Albrighton Amartey Drinkwater Mahrez Vardy Okazaki Obviously if Kante is fit to start. He starts. I mean come on. It's Kante FFS. He's the best midfielder to ever wear the blue of this wonderful club.
49er Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 They have two centre backs playing in the full back positions. Surely, Mahrez and Vardy can exploit this. Perhaps start Schlupp instead of Albrighton because of his pace and to give Dawson the run around? Up front, Rondon looks a useful player, but Big Wes ought out muscle him. Redmond caused problems today with his pace.Pace is not something you really associate with WBA. They have almost reached their points target for staying up, so this is not do or die for them. I can see us winning 2-0 Vardy and Schlupp.
foxinsox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Pulis played an attacking lineup today. Berahino scored a cracker and nearly a second. It could be very entertaining. I would go with Inler in midfield over King in Kantes role. Inler can be quite physical. Simpson in for Amartey.
AS78UK Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Berahino looked quite good, wouldn't be adverse to a bid in the summer, assuming his problems are now behind him.
Foxxed Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 We've now--through the last game--learnt these matches will be incredibly difficult. Ranieri was right - more difficult than Arsenal. Arsenal let us play our Plan A. West Brom and the rest won't. They'll completely change their game plan to counter our style. Norwich came close, other teams will try to take that a bit further. I hope Ranieri is gearing up a five in midfield game plan for ideally earlier than the 85th minute. Who's going in for Kante? King, Inler or Amartey? Is Ranieri tempted to change the formation or simply give Kante a replacement?
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Where do you get this from? At no point today did we go 3-5-2 where do people get this from? 3-5-2 is over CR does not like it Yes we did. When Ulloa came on for Amartey.
It'sblueupnorth Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Yes we did. When Ulloa came on for Amartey. Albrighton slotted in at rb. At no point did we employ a 3-5-2 formation
chrishlcfc Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Take another one nil. As boring and turgid as Wba are they are capable of doing an even better job than Norwich at keeping us bay and going for a clean sheet. Could also quite easily concede a corner goal or set piece to this lot. Pulis will come for a nil nil. Score early and make them have to come out. Tough game Pretty much exactly this, West Brom will be even harder to break down than norwich, they will have 8 or 9 men defending permanently. I ****ing hate pulis managed teams.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 i would go for inler in midfield... with king/amartey maybe coming on if we need a change up or if inler ain't upto the pace.
NewEnglandFox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Inler and Drinky have terrible chemistry. Inler's a great pickpocket but if the two of them can't understand each other it negates the extra quality he brings. For that reason as well I think it has to be King and not Amartey.
AyewJoking Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 West Brom are closer to the Champions League places than we are to 5th. copy and paste to cray stat time
AyewJoking Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Berahino looked quite good, wouldn't be adverse to a bid in the summer, assuming his problems are now behind him. nah, he's still at west brom
themightyfin Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Yes we did. When Ulloa came on for Amartey. No we didnt
