SpinneyHillRanger Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Not sure who will take Kantes place in midfield, but judging by what CR has said - probably be King. I also think CR will change it much ealier on if he sees we aren't making much headway against them or things just aren't going to plan. From his comments post match norwich he played Albrighton on right and Mahrez in behind Vardy and Ulloa so he could get more width from thw wingers/wingbacks to get passed the Block of defenders.... No doubt WBA will play on the counter with Berahinho posing a real goal threat for them. CR might just surprise everyone and play 5-3-2 from start... Although with simpson coming back he probably will leave that as Plan B and stick wioth our tried and tested 4-4-2
americanfox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Kante will be a big loss but rather rest him and not risk him at home. Todays result would have been a reality check (even if the playing group were aware pre-match) about the teams lower in the league scrapping and fighting and trying to negate our so far season successful style. , Do you start Kingy or Amartey at CM?
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Westbrom at home are a bogey team as well, we do well at the hawthorns but can't remember us beating them at home for a long time. Add in their defensive physical style and I can see a 0-1
Wolfox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Rondon, sessignon and Berahino looked pretty handy on the MOTD highlights.... West Brom at home was one of the most dipressing games from last season... Having said that they have sod all to play for now... We'll have to move up a couple gears if we want to get something out of its though...
Guest ttfn Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 How many centre backs will TP go with? With Chris Brunt out injured I think there's a real chance of seeing the mythical 5 centre back line up of Dawson-Evans-McAuley-Olsson-Chester. What a time to be alive.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Chelsea, Man City, West Brom We always play well against teams who have had money thrown at them.
ramadaone Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Simpson back! ..hope Kante wasn't injured today? Hope we can get through the Bus Station!! You really do have a nerve you cretin Slag us off in the Match Day thread including " bye bye title" and slating Kingy 2 mins after he has come on For a knob that never goes to a game you seem to to have plenty to say and all of it is bollocks And the worst thing ? Putting ****ing !!!! After pretty much every sentence I'm out of here
Guest Col city fan Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 General consensus in the pub last night was this game could be one of the toughest we've played for some time. We'll get at them, but they'll get at us too...The presence of Kante is imperative and if he's injured and not playing, I'm not sure who we'd replace him with? Perhaps Amartey in the central mid area? The problem with playing Inler is he's slow...and they get forward very quickly. I think they'll be goals and we'll just nick it. 3-2

I think they'll just have a go and won't be the typical Pulis defensive minded line up.

They really needed exclamation marks but quite frankly, I was scared to use them. Anyway, west brom are capable of keeping a clean sheet anywhere and that makes them a very dangerous opponent. I wouldn't lean towards any result on Tuesday. anything could happen.
ARM1968 Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 No matter what happens today this is a must win game. West Brom are solid. Perhaps stolid. If they're going to play 3 up front at home they might match us up 442, although I ecoect 352. Same again with Ulloa 2nd half. I'd take 1-0 all day long.
simon789us Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Going to be a tough one but think they will be a little more open than Norwich early goal to settle the nerves onward to another 3 points

Fox92 Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 This game will be more frustrating than yesterday. Pulis is the type of manager that will proudly play 10-0-0. We've got to watch those set pieces though, they are dangerous with their height. Although with our pace we should be able to run at Olson and McAuley.
Vacamion Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Albion's defence, especially Olson, were shocking at times yesterday. If they play like that in the week, City should score a lot earlier than minute 89.
foxfanazer Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 We need to be much much better than we were against Norwich. Hopefully we were just rusty and we'll be back to our best Tuesday. 3 points will be massive
David Lowe Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Albion's defence, especially Olson, were shocking at times yesterday. If they play like that in the week, City should score a lot earlier than minute 89. Norwich defending has been poor in recent weeks.
Livid Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Can the Kop just hold on to the flag and shake it or move it SK1 to SK4 and back again, the East Stand totally lost the plot with it yesterday.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 The most important game we have faced this season is the next one . . . . And again
Danizen Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 How many centre backs will TP go with? With Chris Brunt out injured I think there's a real chance of seeing the mythical 5 centre back line up of Dawson-Evans-McAuley-Olsson-Chester. What a time to be alive. The Italians need to come up with a new technical term for how defensive West Brom are. Crappenaccio or something like that.
sdb Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Will be so tough against a side absolutely drilled in rigidity and tactical discipline. This is basically yesterday but harder. No way can Amartey start CM. Looked petrified on the ball yesterday. A talent yes, but not someone we can fully depend on yet. King if Kante is out and get him to sit and allow creative players more freedom going forward. We need to seriously limit their set piece opportunities too. And Ulloa to start. Winning this would be a serious result.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 WBA scoring 3 might have been the best thing to happen.... giving them a false sense of security.... Thinking they don't need to play defensive anymore
harpendenfox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Collectively need to relax a bit. 80 points may well take the title. That's 8 wins from 11 for us. Who we get them against does not matter. We might play teams like Everton and Chelsea when they're on the beach. Fact is we could win any of these 11 games. Tuesday is a chance to win one of those 8. But it isn't a disaster if we don't .
