WBA.. Home. Tuesday!... Thoughts?

Albion's defence, especially Olson, were shocking at times yesterday.

If they play like that in the week, City should score a lot earlier than minute 89.

This...Olsson looked very 'one paced' and flat footed on the turn (reminded me of Darren Peacock who played for Newcastle in the '90s - tall, flat footed with long hair), it wouldn't surprise me if Ranieri targets him and asks Mahrez to drift inside/through the middle to exploit this.

Could be wrong here but I can't see Pulis playing his typical 11 men behind the ball thing. Berahino will start and Pulis will be looking to get the best out of him and another performance like Saturday.

I'm gonna go against the grain and suggest it will be a pretty open affair, with goals.

It could be, and if west Brom's next game was against a lower table side,  say Newcastle or Sunderland, I would say it is more likely to be an open game with Pulis throwing caution to the wind knowing that they only need a few more points to stay up, but he may also want to consolidate his 3 points on Saturday with a scrappy away point tomorrow knowing he has United and Arsenal coming up and adopting a new attacking approach could lead to a few hidings.

We shall see, I hope they don't park the bus because it just makes the game shit to watch, but what will be will be, at least we only have 1 day to wait.

If we play Ulloa we will play into their hands. Need to trust our attacking players to beat their man. But then change it up earlier if it isn't working.

This.

Lobbing balls up in the air from the start would be ludicrous.

a) it will suit their defenders

b) we have successful with Shinji starting, and playing our way. Running at defences with the ball.

If Ulloa does play at any time our wingers need to be getting to the by-line, and not our defenders / midfielders going long and straight.

I can see us really struggling tomorrow. Pulis will play his dinosaur football and have them all sat back. An early goal for us makes all the difference. they will have to come out and attack. If we don't score early It will be just like against Norwich.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ulloa come in but I think Shinji is the better option. Simpson to slot straight back in and play King for Kante. I would trust King to come in and do a job. Could play Amartey in CM but I would choose King.

If we win then I will seriously start to think we can go on and run away with it.

Agreed. If we get the first goal, I think we'll be fine, but WBA will be doing what Norwich did, and they're much better at it than them. If we score, they'll be forced to attack, and we could end up with an easy win. If we can't score early enough, it could easily be a disappointing night.

Kante is a big loss, but if he has to miss a match, I'd much rather it was a game like this than a game where we'd more likely be on the back foot and his tackling is more valuable. King might do a decent job. Amartey apparently is better in a central role, and his debut is out of the way, so it might be a good time to see how well he works alongside DD. I doubt Inler will start as he hasn't been considered recently.

Spurs have two tricky games this week. If they do well, then at least it will mean Arsenal are further behind. We've got a great chance of building up a gap at the top, either way.

If they play like norwich we will struggle, our whole game is built on a counter attacking style, if there is nothing to counter vardy becomes isolated and our passing isnt good enough. I lost count on saturday of balls pumped into the box and it being headed away.

Still i think we will win another 1-0.

This is not true, we weren't counter attacking Southampton in the second half when we pinned them inside their box for 45 minutes and created enough chances to win the game. Man City; we attacked from the off and destroyed them, the second goal may have been a counter attack but we didn't just play on the break, we dominated the game and scored from two set pieces.

Our game is based more on pressing than purely counter attacking - if we win the ball high up the pitch teams are in all sorts of trouble and that's our first tactic. We're great at counter attacking, obviously it's a big part of our success, but that doesn't mean our whole game is based around it.

We had an off day against Norwich, let's not overreact. It's a tough game but on our day we've got enough guile to create chances against a slow and frankly poor West Brom team.

Being without Kante is my main concern.

West Bromwich Albion's win at Everton on their last away trip ended a run of seven games on the road without a victory (D3 L4).

Seven of the last eight meetings between these two sides in all competitions have ended as away wins.

The Baggies are unbeaten in their last six away trips to Leicester (W5 D1 L0).

In the last two matches between the Foxes and West Brom, the Baggies have scored first only to lose 2-3.

WBA will be looking to win three successive Premier League games in a row for the first time since November 2012 and for the first time in the competition under Tony Pulis.

Leicester City have only made 22 changes to their starting XI in Premier League games (combined) this season; at least 14 fewer than any other club.

10 of the last 12 teams to be top of the Premier League on March 1st (at the end of the day) have gone on to win the title that season.

Leicester City have now gone 463 minutes since they last conceded on home soil in the Premier League.

The Foxes have lost just one of their last 16 Premier League home games (W11 D4 L1).

West Bromwich Albion have attempted a league-low 82 shots on target in the Premier League this season.

I knew we had a poor home record against them but that's awful! Looking forward to sorting that hoodoo out!

Kante should start if fit though. Disagree about Amartey not being ready to play this game. If he is the controlling CDM he is built up to be (I didn't see anything on Saturday to suggest he isn't as a good as the reputation that proceeds him), then this is a good game to use his physicality in. I'd have Schlupp and Gray ready to come on to stretch play with pace if needed. We will need to watch their front 3 of Berahino, Rondon and Sessegnon as they looked like they were linking up well against Palace on Saturday. Berahino's return to form is untimely for us as he is their best player by a long way when on song.

Wouldn't risk Kante. Albrighton on right and Mahrez on left as bit of a surprise to WBA who will sit deep. Get balls into the box from wide into Ulloa. Don't think they are great at dealing with balls into there own box and the full backs aren't great either. Get at them wide and think this game is ours. Providing we can deal with defending set pieces

Gutted i can't get a ticket for this :(

Oooooooh hard luck there mate!

I'll sing up for ya...

If Schlupp is fully fit, I would start him instead of Okazaki. Put Albrighton on the right and have Mahrez in behind Schlupp. Can alternate the 3 and have Schlupp in behind also.

I would also be tempted to have Albrighton at right back...

Don't get the hate for Baggies or Pulis. They both exemplify what we are revelling in this season. Namely, sticking two fingers up to the perceived wisdom of what a PL team or manager should look like. Good luck on both of them. Just not this week.

Dan, nothing personal to your quote but this ongoing reference to 'parking the bus' does irritate me a bit. I know we have been really privilaged to have a team that attacks every week but there are lots of ways to win a football match and defending is one of them. I used to really enjoy seeing Pulis's Stoke turn over the big boys by defending properly and lobbing in a few long balls(and throw ins!) to win the game. Wengers constant winging about playing a 'rugby team' was funny every time. I admit West Brom may not be 'pretty' to watch on Tuesday but please dont let us turn into Arsenal where if teams dont play thirty passes on the floor or have the audacity to play a defencive system we slag them off for 'parking the bus'.

Sorry for the rant but I quite rate Pulis as a manager and as a decent bloke who just tries to win matches for his club by playing to their strengths.

Saying all that, I hope we stuff them 5-0 on Tuesday...!

It's not a criticism or snobbery, it's based on what's happened previously. They've had several away games without a shot on target against far weaker opponents than ourselves. Hell, they even failed to hit the target at home to the bottom side.

It's the way they'll play and that's fine, it's up to us to break them down.

Right now the Foxes are on everyone's hit list. Managers trying to avoid the sack, players trying to confirm their pay. Every game from here out is going to be tough. But let's not forget that Leicester is the best team in the league. As much as we analyze, this we should win. This game will be difficult perhaps, but it's a win, even without Kante.

Think Inler should play instead of Amertey. Experience will be key and the next few games we want to be winning. Hopefully if both Spurs & Arsenal fail to take full points we will and can make the gap even bigger!

Think Berahino will be up for it, as he's getting his confidence and sanity back.

Fletcher v Drinkwater/King will be a good battle.

N’Golo Kante has been ruled out of Leicester’s next two matches as he recovers from the hamstring problem which forced him off against Norwich on Saturday.

Claudio Ranieri admitted ‘extraordinary’ Kante would be missed but insisted Andy King will provide excellent cover in midfield.

Kante has been one of the stars of Leicester’s rise to title-challengers – featuring in every Premier League game this season to date – but will be absent from the home match against West Bromwich Albion and trip to Watford.‘We lose him for the next two matches. I hope only two,’ said Ranieri. ‘It's a little painful his hamstring. He suffered during all the season and now we want to give him some rest. Two matches and he can restart.

‘All the season he had a problem to the other leg and now this time the new leg. Maybe he made a compensation and charged too much on the other leg.

‘He has been extraordinary but I am very confident. We play King and every time he was excellent.

‘Let me now play and then I will tell you what I will lose (from Kante). N'Golo recovers a lot of balls but not only this, he starts the counter attack and makes the last ball.

‘I am very confident Drinky and Kingy could be the same, they are doing very well. King has another style of football, he doesn’t make the same. He has to do his job not the Kante job.’

King, Ulloa and Simpon to come in I reckon. Ranieri knows about their set pieces, so Kingy and Leo would help with that no end.

Second this, and I think it's still easily enough to win.

I think we'll do this. I cant see CR risking Amartey in the middle for such a crucial game. Tried and tested method of KIngy in the middle ahead of Amartey. Wouldnt surprise me if he gives Albrighton a rest as well and sticks Schlupp in for his pace
