Notsomuchthesedays Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 This'll be two halves of pure bus park. We're relying on the forwards having a good game. Dan, nothing personal to your quote but this ongoing reference to 'parking the bus' does irritate me a bit. I know we have been really privilaged to have a team that attacks every week but there are lots of ways to win a football match and defending is one of them. I used to really enjoy seeing Pulis's Stoke turn over the big boys by defending properly and lobbing in a few long balls(and throw ins!) to win the game. Wengers constant winging about playing a 'rugby team' was funny every time. I admit West Brom may not be 'pretty' to watch on Tuesday but please dont let us turn into Arsenal where if teams dont play thirty passes on the floor or have the audacity to play a defencive system we slag them off for 'parking the bus'. Sorry for the rant but I quite rate Pulis as a manager and as a decent bloke who just tries to win matches for his club by playing to their strengths. Saying all that, I hope we stuff them 5-0 on Tuesday...!
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Every game from Now until the end of the season is the biggest game in this clubs history. I've all of today and probably most of tomorrow not thinking about work or anything else just WBA on Tuesday. They will come and play there usual way. They are a solid team with tough centre backs. We need to be smarter in our approach to this one. If Kante is not fit, I would start Inler. Bit of a curve ball but with his ability to pass it I think WBA will press less than Norwich and allow him more time on the ball. Otherwise, apart from Simpson coming back in, same again. Come on you blues!
filbertstreet Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Inler might not be a bad shout. you're right, tried it and woke the neighbours up but it sounds pretty cool
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Loud and proudThisCome on Leicester, we CAN do this
Vardinio'sCat Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 height is a concern, wouldn't be totally surprised if CR starts Ulloa, even though Shinji is doing a great job at the mo.
leicesterseddon Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Simpson in for Amartey I think. Armatey was fine, but why change a proven back four if you have to. If Kante has to be rested, I'd like to see Inler come in for him. Think he could be useful in this game. Not sure King would be the right choice - I worry he's not physical enough for this lot.
Strokes Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I reckon we will batter these, they're shit. 3-0.
TJB-fox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 King for Kante. Simpson for Amartey. This will be an extremely tough game and a huge potential banana skin. Can see this finishing 0-1 or 1-1, they always seem to do well here. Would love to start Schlupp but think that would be harsh on Albrighton.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Have we ever beaten them at the King Power? Time to sort that out if we haven't.

I know I've said to people around me that we "need to park the bus for the rest of this game" when we've been up against it. Maybe there's a bit of light-hearted mocking in there when you use it to talk about another team but to me it's mainly descriptive.
ozleicester Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Ahh the silly times are closing in now. Oh well, out of bed for the 3.45am kick off. We are staying up, say we are staying up - cmonn yoo blooosssssss

ozleicester Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 - 6.00am for me - need WA to get daylight saving time! Nah, 6 is brilliant, get up, watch game, go to work. 3.45 sucks as you cant go back to bed and its too late to stay up all night. Mind you... im not complaining, the 3pm kick offs are 10 or 11pm (depending on daylight saving)... much better than you 1am's
kingcarr21 Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 I can see us really struggling tomorrow. Pulis will play his dinosaur football and have them all sat back. An early goal for us makes all the difference. they will have to come out and attack. If we don't score early It will be just like against Norwich. I wouldn't mind seeing Ulloa come in but I think Shinji is the better option. Simpson to slot straight back in and play King for Kante. I would trust King to come in and do a job. Could play Amartey in CM but I would choose King. If we win then I will seriously start to think we can go on and run away with it.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Just winnit. Don't care how scruffy it is, just winnit.
m4DD0gg Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 If they play like norwich we will struggle, our whole game is built on a counter attacking style, if there is nothing to counter vardy becomes isolated and our passing isnt good enough. I lost count on saturday of balls pumped into the box and it being headed away. Still i think we will win another 1-0.

Then CR will switch it to a 3-5-2 much earlier, having seen how it worked against Norwich.

Captain... Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 WBA scoring 3 might have been the best thing to happen.... giving them a false sense of security.... Thinking they don't need to play defensive anymore I think more so than scoring 3, the fact they went out and attacked and won the game might make them take a more positive approach, they could even see it as a shot to nothing they aren't expecting to get anything from the so just get at us. Hopefully they will see the Norwich game and see how they spent the whole game trying to stop us scoring and failed, expending a lot of energy in the process. They have United and Arsenal as their next 2 games, although Arsenal might be moved, it all depends on so much. I expect Ranieri to go with plan A in the first half, but if we are drawing a blank bring on Ulloa much sooner second half, winning this would be phenomenal, Spurs next 2 games are West Ham away and Arsenal home, they will probably drop points somewhere, and if they don't then fair play they deserve to finish second.

Saying all that, I hope we stuff them 5-0 on Tuesday...! I thought his Stoke side were a lot better than this personally, and in hindsight I've actually got a guilty pleasure in liking the way they rumbled the big boys - it's just textbook Arsenal mentality to throw their toys out of the pram because they had no answer. That wasn't really aimed as a pop at Pulis, I suppose it sort of is, I'm just stating what I see as being the likely challenge for Leicester. West Brom will come here and sit back, absolutely no doubt about that, but it's well within the laws of the game, and if we can't beat it then it's our own problem.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Could be wrong here but I can't see Pulis playing his typical 11 men behind the ball thing. Berahino will start and Pulis will be looking to get the best out of him and another performance like Saturday. I'm gonna go against the grain and suggest it will be a pretty open affair, with goals.
