TheMightySystem Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 lil yung ben chilwell Dont think it is, on the second picture Chilwell is behind King and this guy is at the back. Just wondering if we have another good young prospect that I have never heard of before.
les-tah Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 lil yung ben chilwell is that a new chinese signing?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Oooooooh hard luck there mate! I'll sing up for ya... And for me please ColWill be there in spirit
RowlattsFox Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Disappointing to lose Kante but sensible management, we don't want him missing the rest of the season with a pulled hamstring. West Brom at home is not a bad game for him to miss, King can bring certain strengths, a greater goal threat and is good in and around the box. King does well when he makes the odd appearance but struggles to sustain over a prolonged number of games.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 I'm glad we will be going for WINS... as oppose to settling for draws. I can see this being a high scoring game. Hopefully we can keep a clean sheet and win 4-0 ------- Ranieri says the need for maximum points at the business end of the season means he will continue to gamble on games that are in the balance. He said: “I will take a lot of risks; we have to be in or out.“You could lose the game, but one point is nothing. We took the risk against Norwich, but the manager is there for this reason.Read more at http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/ranieri-well-keep-taking-risks-2979952.aspx#2LAjh8Lo1Bmb2DSW.99
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 http://westbrom.com/forum/index.php?topic=18155.0 One things for sure... they seem quite jealous There's nothing too bitter in there to be fair... Although I've never liked them as a team, even less so now, have always found West Brom fans to be the best out of a bad bunch in Birmingham. Brum city are by far the worst: real scum, with a small-time aggressive mentality. Villa can be OK but have this false sense of superiority that really grates. West Brom are a bit more humble and down-to-earth normally....

Just go for it and see what happens.

AjcW Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Just a quick point, don't think it has been mentioned recently and isn't intended to be overly critical but I think Albrighton needs a rest. He really wasn't at the races against Norwich, lots of misplaced passes etc, I just think Claudio is managing the rest of the squad well and this is one position we have good back up so no harm in rotation? Also noticed that West Brom fell to pieces as soon as Palace brought on pace in the second half on Saturday so Gray/Schlupp might be a better option on that side over Albrighton?

I would tend to agree, he didn't have the best of games against Norwich, but he probably had one of his best games against West Brom away so maybe rest him against Watford.

I suppose he does have that extra edge against former West Mids rivals! A nice problem to have though, the fact that there's good options to replace.
NewEnglandFox Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 If they play like norwich we will struggle, our whole game is built on a counter attacking style, if there is nothing to counter vardy becomes isolated and our passing isnt good enough. I lost count on saturday of balls pumped into the box and it being headed away. 23. Or at least FourFourTwo says we were 3 for 26 on crosses. Still it was a failure to penetrate and assert presence in the box. Vardy and Okazaki were stand off the line more times than not while outnumbered. It was obvious we needed a plan B we didn't have. Yet I read all of these posts on here saying the answer is more speed when really our biggest issue was not being able to get through the landmines Norwich stuffed in their box. That game needed a breakdown in the final third to win. It was not a midfield game.

I do agree, although if we can play further up the pitch we can use speed to get in behind in the sides, with full backs forward, or Schlupp getting to the byline, which is what we miss with Albrighton - then pull the ball back, that's got to be the way to beat W Brom. I'd start Schlupp ahead of Mark for this one.

Every fking week some dodos need to dig at some player or another, often with illogical unknowledgable comments.

You're perhaps right but we sometimes tend to forget that for him, he is playing out of position to accommodate Mahrez on the right. As an "old fashioned' right winger I thing he'd do a good job for England as an option. He's a tremendous crosser of the ball and the cross for Ulloas goal on Saturday typifies what he's all about. An unsung team player hero who works his socks off.
Spudulike Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 That Berahino goal on Saturday was straight out of the Mahrez/Vardy manual.

Albrighton whipping balls across to Mahrez ghosting in. https://streamable.com/8fsc https://streamable.com/iwua riyad has stopped getting as far forward as he did earlier on in the campaign. I assume this has coincided with us looking more solid and conceding less goals. maybe now that Claudio has decided its sh*t or bust each fixture, we will see a more 'gung ho' approach again ??
Detroit Blues Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 If West Brom plans on playing behind the ball, and crowding the box with tall defenders, might it be a better idea to put on someone like Demarai Gray instead of Albrighton?
