Finnaldo Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Guaranteed a signature Kingy 20 yard drive tomorrow then.
lgfualol Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Guaranteed a signature Kingy 20 yard drive tomorrow then. When was the last time he did one of them
MC Prussian Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Kante isnt exactly pirlo at passing Pirlo didn't gain notoriety for his passing skills until he was well past the age of 30. Late bloomer and all that. Then again, he was never of the speedy kind. We'll be fine, time for the replacement CM to step up and deliver. I don't mind whether it's Amartey, King or Inler (although I'd prefer the latter, of course), as long as he plays his heart and lungs out against West Brom.
AKCJ Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 People saying Inler isn't mobile enough as though we are not about to play a midfield pairing of Craig Gardner and Darren Fletcher.
Finnaldo Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 When was the last time he did one of them 5th minute tomorrow
MC Prussian Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Kingy is better than all 3 put together. Yeah, but what about tackling, ball distribution and retention?
Guest seanfox778 Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Shame about N'Golo but who doesn't love Andy King? Really hope he scores tomorrow if he plays, could all be mind games from Mr Ranieri, revealing who the replacement will be this early can only help WBA plans to be honest.

Have you ever visited that website FoxesTalk?! People slag him off all the time but no one really knows why! I think he's brilliant but some of the stick he gets on here is hilarious. He's the least deserving scape goat for when it all goes pete tong
smudger63 Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Those who dont think king is good enough for our team have very short memories. Yeah sure hes not as good as kante but this is the guy that came in at the back end of last season and stepped up when others(drinky and james) couldn't. Hes good enough to replace kante for these two games At the back end of the season we were playing 3-5-2, and so he came into a midfield three, one of which was Cambiasso, who was pulling the strings by that time. We struggled all of last season to play with only 2 in the midfield, it didn`t work.. That is one of the massive plus`s of Kante, that his non stop engine and reading of the game, has allowed us to play without the extra midfielder. While Kante is out, i`d be very tempted to go back to the 3-5-2 that served us so well at the end of last season. We might even get to see the best of Inler in a 3 man midfield.
foxes161 Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Thankfully it's only west brom and Watford coming up. Could be worse.
foxfanazer Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Thankfully it's only west brom and Watford coming up. Could be worse. These are really important games. Would've loved him to be available for the Watford game especially
Benji Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Could have happened at a much worse time. Next few games we'll have more possession than recently so there's less of a need for the constant tackling and interceptions. Big loss for sure, but better the next two than the February games.
Countryfox Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Would've loved him to be available Me too ! Extremely important member of the team. But he's injured !!! zzzz
lnkstern Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 How is matty James?? Came back a while ago in the under 21s? Injured again or just not fit yet. I have the same question! I can't find any current news or reports of his fitness or status.
Thracian Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Don't quite see King as a direct replacement for Kante. Not in any way shape or form. I like Kingy but he tends to go missing A LOT and with our midfield pairing pulling all the strings this is a big worry for me, I mean there is no way on earth King will put in even a fraction of the tackles that Kante does. We could have 100 midfield players and I'd doubt that any would be a direct replacement for Kante?
Mythyaar Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Amartey was NOT good enough on Saturday. Full back or centre midfield he is not ready for us yet. If you watched the match carefully v Norwich you will have seen the number of times Morgan covered for him when he was out of position. Plus the number of aimless passes he made. He wasn't comfortable on the ball and needs time to acclimatise. So then its a choice between inler and king. Or if we are really goingdrinkwater Schlupp, albrighton, mahrez, drinkwater with Vardy Ulloa up top
onekeithweller Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Posted Today, 03:27 PM N’Golo Kante has been ruled out of Leicester’s next two matches as he recovers from the hamstring problem which forced him off against Norwich on Saturday. Claudio Ranieri admitted ‘extraordinary’ Kante would be missed but insisted Andy King will provide excellent cover in midfield. Kante has been one of the stars of Leicester’s rise to title-challengers – featuring in every Premier League game this season to date – but will be absent from the home match against West Bromwich Albion and trip to Watford.‘We lose him for the next two matches. I hope only two,’ said Ranieri. ‘It's a little painful his hamstring. He suffered during all the season and now we want to give him some rest. Two matches and he can restart. ‘All the season he had a problem to the other leg and now this time the new leg. Maybe he made a compensation and charged too much on the other leg. ‘He has been extraordinary but I am very confident. We play King and every time he was excellent. ‘Let me now play and then I will tell you what I will lose (from Kante). N'Golo recovers a lot of balls but not only this, he starts the counter attack and makes the last ball. ‘I am very confident Drinky and Kingy could be the same, they are doing very well. King has another style of football, he doesn’t make the same. He has to do his job not the Kante job.’ Read more: http://www.dailymail...l#ixzz41ZT2Q5Gd Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook " All the season he had a problem to the other leg" Claudio pull the other one
Thracian Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Yeah, but what about tackling, ball distribution and retention? And with that comment you'd still seriously champion Inler? And in the last two skills you'd mention I'd guess he's been as good as anyone in the club for years. Fairer criticisms might be his tracking of people and his tendency, in some circumstances, to play the ball safe rather than take risks. But then he still played a small part in our winning move Saturday and I'm not sure that keeping the ball more isn't what's needed it we're going to make further progress. Either way I don't see Inler showing signs of passing and retaining the ball particularly well. In fact I'd say he made quite alarming mistakes in most of his appearances.
Thracian Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Thankfully it's only west brom and Watford coming up. Could be worse. Only? Both are well capable of beating us if we're anything below our best and I'd hope everyone involved understands that. My hope is we treat the game as if we're starting the season and trying to get to 40 points again. Cos that sure seemed to focus our attention.

My hope is we treat the game as if we're starting the season and trying to get to 40 points again. biggs Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 No player on our roster will replace Kante at the same level. Kante arguably has been our best player this year. King knows the position and knows the team better than most and I still rate him. You cannot expect him to be Kante but King brings his own strengths into play and IMO will be more likely to bag a goal than Drinky or Kante. Team play is what is working so no need to panic. Whoever Ranieri puts in will not give us our Kante but the team will continue to be strong.
Mythyaar Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 You need to follow that statement up with a counter argument gingerrfox. I will then tell you whether YOU know football or not.
Foxxed Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Since teams will give us more possession in the few matches, at least Kanté interceptions won't be as important. If we can get Amartey to gain the confidence to pass towards some more, I wouldn't mind him. Probably King though. I wonder if Kanté absence will make Ranieri tinker with the formation a bit more. Three at the back and Schlupp running at defenders sounds sexy.
