Yeah, nothing in my handbook either, I only found out about expiry dates through an online owners forum.

I guess the manufacturer hopes you'll get the Adblue topped up by their mechanics at every service rather than DIY so they don't mention it.

If I were you, I'd join an online/Facebook forum for owners of your particular car and search to see if anyone has had the same issue and what the resolution is.

I hope it's not too costly for you :fc:

Thanks.

I've looked at various forums and there are several comments about the warning lights etc and using Wynne's to clear them but results seem to vary It's hard to know . I was just wondering if anyone here had direct knowledge as I know there's car mechy's on here.

A replacement injector system is roughly £600 plus labour. Wynne's is £8, I just want to know first hand if it's effective.

I hate having faults on a car. It's such an unknown potential cost and not having a car even for a couple of days is stressful.

I didn't. Nothing in the vehicle handbook to advise either.

The last 10l I bought was Carplan from Costco about 4 months ago. I never gave a thought about expiry dates.

Could be a costly mistake. When I bought the car I read the handbook, as I always do, just to find out what clever little things the car could do and for info on replacing consumables but surely the vehicle handbook should provide the information the owner needs regarding Adblue to avoid my situation.

I was going to suggest filling it up via Adblue pump at petrol stations.   However,  then again it would be dependent how often the pump get replenished now that I have thought about it.

Hey all

I know very little about cars. I have a 20 reg Peugeot 208 Pure Tech 1.2 with 27k miles and on Friday a red warning flashed up on friday "Engine Oil Pressure Fault: Stop the vehicle". Immediately turned off the car. Noticed the oil level was quite low so topped it up and the error went away.

Turned car on this morning and the same red warning is back. But seems intermittent. I turned the car off then on and the warning didn't show...

Anyone got any ideas? Its booked in for MOT and Service on Wednesday. Is it even safe to drive it 4 miles to the garage? Thanks all for any advice!

For specific questions like this, I'd always suggest going onto a dedicated owners forum for your car.

Here's numerous threads on the Peugeot 208 owners forum with the same issue, so hopefully you'll get some answers here:

there has been limited car chat recently

any cars anyone have seen recently they really like the look of or got your eye on?

2027 kia telluride.  Except I don't trust hyundai/kia engines.

My brother's sonata needed a new engine after 100k km. Now his santa fe needs a new engine after 110k km. Both covered by warranty but still cost hime $1500 cdn to get the santa fe back up and running as only the engine is covered. Other related items you should change along with a new engine (apparently) are on you.

I think they had issues with their theta engines or something.  I know people who swear by them with 0 issues but I can't go that route given my brothers issues.

It's not as if the so called leaders in quality (toyota or honda) have not had massive issues or recalls in the last several years.

I had a civic and crv for about 11 and 12 years respectively with no major issues. I was looking for new cars in the last two years  and seeing as honda was having quality issues with CRV as well as the high theft rate here in  Ontario, we decided to go with subaru and got an 24 Ascent and 25 Forester. Both have been great but its wayyyy too early to tell how they will fair long term.  I was in a bit of a bind to get newer cars and did not like the Rav4 or highlander.  I clearly buy more practical type cars then  for look/style/power.

I think it's all somewhat of a shit show these days with quality anyways.

Just got my ioniq 5 back yesterday after dropping it at the dealership before Christmas with a battery charging issue (wouldn't charge past 75%).

The problem with any electrical faults is that the dealership technicians can't or won't get involved, so the car had to be sent to the battery centre in Tilbury.

Anyway, all sorted and had a petrol qashaqi while it was in the dealership and it's great to be back in electric!

BMW iX3 looks like a brilliant piece of kit, as does the new Electric Volvo.... both claiming 500 miles per charge... but even if they do 400... that's a step change.

Had my eye on an Alfa Tonale for a while having had a couple of Alfas in my time and absolutely loving them

Got one at the weekend as a hire car and realised I prefer my Renault Captur.

Gutted lol

Am I right that you had an i4? I am currently choosing a new car and debating whether to go fully electric. Currently have a hybrid.

tesla M3 Dual motor, now have Hyundai ioniq 5n which is rediculous - 641hp with actual gears like an ICE car - best car i have ever driven

wouldn't reccomend Tesla pesonaly, only because i found it quite boring with only the one big screen (quite distracting) controlling everything and distracting - no heads up display etc, turning circle of a JCB. Good car for the price though, best charging network and had no issues nonetheless.

If you want performance, test drive a 5n, would test drive an IX3 if you want mileage,  have recently had very good reviews on release to press

Having never even looked inside a Tesla I sat in the Model Y & Cybertruck (hideous thing) on Monday and the 1st thing that struck me was how boring, ugly & cheap looking the interior is, a very small steering wheel & a very large middle screen that’s it, the outside not much prettier.

I then sat in an iX3 50 & oooooh my god it is on another planet let alone level & all for just £10k more @ a very generous entry level.

I have the i4. It's an exceptional car.

I’m just torn between going full electric or sticking with hybrid. Atm I’m leaning towards hybrid

Which I fully understand.  For some people that works better.  Ours was a BIK decision and a leap of faith "hoping" that fully electric would work for us.

Thankfully, it has, and I don't imagine NOT being fully electric again.

Just go for an EV and never think about fuel prices again or visit a petrol station
