lgfualol Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Anyone got any advice on 'wrong-ending'? I live in Durham, so this is just down the road for me and if I can't get hold of an away ticket, I'm planning on getting a home ticket as close to the away end as possible and keeping my mouth shut. Any recommendations from people who've tried this? Try to fit in with the average person from Sunderland. You'll need to remove some teeth & not brush them (don't clean your whole body for added effect) until the game and go to a charity/vintage shop and pick up some gear from the late 90s that doesn't fit.

Whilst it's possible it might happen that way round, surely you're only saying that on a hunch or a gut feeling? Because West Ham have only lost 6 games all season. To put that into perspective, that's less than Arsenal, Man City, United. Sunderland though sit in the relegation zone having lost 16 games this season. Literally any stat you can pull out the bag will indicate Sunderland should be seen as being easier than West Ham. I know it doesn't work that way, but that's how it will be viewed by everyone else. We are 2.24 on BF at present to beat Sunderland. I can't see us being much bigger than that at home to West Ham so tbf there's not a lot of difference to which is the most likeliest game to win. Oh for us to win both. 2.24/1?
biggs Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 We go to Sunderland and get a draw....I'll be disappointed unless Arsenal and Spurs do no better, then I'd feel somewhat better, although I'd still be somewhat of a grump not having beaten them. No worries though as in my optimistic opinion we will take em 0 -2 Leicester. United will draw at Spurs and WHU will beat Arsenal

Merging Cultures Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 I think we should switch it up. Play a different team than normal.
MC Prussian Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 I think up until we've put ourselves in a potential position where we've won the title with a game or two to spare, we cannot expect our squad to crush opposing teams and let attacks flow freely. I don't see signs of big expectations with our players, but surely at one point you realize you've got more liberty in your style of play. I can see us frustrating opposing teams for another two to three weeks and grinding out results. The same goes for a club like Sunderland who won't back down until it's mathematically impossible for them to retain their Premier League status. This should be a tight affair and I'm hoping for a narrow 2-1 victory for Leicester.

biggs Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 I think we should switch it up. Play a different team than normal. ....but the schedule has us down to play Sunderland. Not so sure we can switch it up to play Newport County.

jonthefox Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Whats the name of these seaside pubs everyones pointing me to ?. Are they going to be open that early?.
WigstonWanderer Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 if you cant win at sunderland can you complain at not winning the league? our 7 point lead will be an excuse why a point or even a defeat wouldnt be the end of the world, especially if spurs fúck up too. i just hope the gap we have relieves enough tension for us to play with more freedom than we have done of late and beat these fookers comfortably. ExactlyGo at it from the off like we did against Man City. Use the gap to allow a bit more freedom to attack. Not much difference between a draw and a loss at the top of the table.
foxes21 Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 We need to be ruthless. Yes they need the points. But so did we last year on our great run and Chelsea came and steamrolled us. Ruthless and fearless. COYB
samlcfc1 Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 If we score early we may go on to get 2 or 3 otherwise I can see it being very close If we score early we may go on to get 2 or 3 otherwise I can see it being very close

Webbo Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 A lot on here are acting like we've won it already, I hope the players don't have that attitude.
ARM1968 Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 I know. Nothing won until it is. Humble in all things is best as humble pie tastes terrible.
Gerard Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 2.24/1? 5/4 in fractions. We were 7/5 against Southampton and will probably be 6/4 against West Ham. Apart from Swansea at home the 5/4 against Sunderland will be the shortest price we'll be for the rest of the season. According to the betting markets Sunderland away will be our second "easiest" (for want of a better word) game left so if we don't win that we'll have to win perceivably harder matches if we are to win the title.
st albans fox Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 We are about evens against the hammers. We are odds on v Swansea. We are slightly longer odds v sland than w ham. I expect we will be around evens or slightly odds on v Everton. Out three home games are more winnable than Sunday according to this.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 watch quasi-f'ing-modo khaziri guy from crosses and set pieces, stop borini from shooting and keep defoe under wraps..... then they need to worry about stopping us....great thing is....we havn't relied on vardy scoring for ages....so 1: he's due to score 2: even if he doesn't someone else usually steps up to the plate.... hopefully simpson or fuchs can score the winner so we can get all 10 outfield players scoring before the end
ronnup Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Lovely game for us this. A team that defend like a pub team that have to push. They've no chance. I know that seems flippant but genuinely think we'll do a job on them. 1-3
foxfanazer Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 I don't mind Allardyce but I don't think he's capable of taking the defensive reins off even though draws are no good for them. I'd be surprised if we concede to these. Defoe is quality on his day but doesn't get much service so when he gets a chance he looks a bit rusty

If we were 2.4 on Betfair at home to Southampton there's no way we'll be even money against West Ham.
