ScouseFox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Because in years gone by, the greed in football, and other clubs would cash in by hiking prices up given the season we've had. Luckily ticket prices are a hot topic at the moment, our owners seem far from greedy and our club isn't like other clubs. we froze prices last season when there was no bumper tv deal. in fact when the freeze was announce we were basically relegated, so the club was going to lose out on a lot of money, hence they can obviously afford to lose out on a lot of money. now we're paying for being successful. if we could afford, this time last year, to lose a lot of tv money and keep season ticket prices the same then surely this year now we're gaining a lot of tv money we can lose a tiny bit of season ticket money? no?
Christoph Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Don't worry lads. They haven't reduced the prices because they're going to chuck in the CL group games too.... one can wish
ScouseFox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 also if you include champions league games (x3) which will undoubtedly be category A, that's if they don't make up a category A* as a special occasion, a season ticket in the kop for league and champions league will end up costing at least £120 more next year for 3 extra games. that's £535 for 22 games (£24 per game) compared to £415 for 19 games (about £21 per game). obviously nobody has to go to champs league games but they've played a blinder here. we'll basically all end up paying more and they announce a freeze so most people think they're the kindest, most compassionate folk in the land.
zak_lcfc Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Hopefully next season they expand the stadium so I have a chance of getting one! Can't complain about a price freeze really, i understand the reasoning behind wanting a price reduction, maybe wait and see what the club are doing regarding CL games when that information gets sorted and announced
Fox92 Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 People not happy about this. Amazing It's a price freeze, I expected it. Lowering prices - although a big ask - would've been nice given how much the club will be making from the tv deal and from Champions League football and from our final league position this season (especially if we win the league).... And then they'll want us to fork out for Champions League tickets on top of having renewed our season tickets. People have different expectations obviously but it's far from "brilliant" and "great news", it was the bare minimum.
AKCJ Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 People not happy about this. Amazing Hang on. It could have been worse but that doesn't mean it is necessarily good.
srevell580 Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 If you take out direct debit initially can you pay off the rest that you owe at any point? Or are you stuck with Direct debit for the next 12 months? For the 12 months. They don't let you pay it off in full unfortunately.
StanSP Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Dunno why people are amazed. You do realise how much the club are going to make next season?? Disappointed to be honest, if we can't get a price reduction when the club is going to make the biggest increase in profit that they possibly ever will, then we will never get a reduction. I think they would have sent a real message out to the rest of the clubs if they had reduced it. Unbelievable. you do realise they couldn't have increased the prices to however much they wish? They've chosen not to. Despite how successful we've been this season, they've kept it the same. There's nothing to be disappointed about here.
Leicesterpool Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Credit to them, they could have easily have put the price up owing to our recent success. But once again credit to our board.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Was kind of hoping for a big rise, so some disgruntled fans might not renew and I could snap one up. Usually I'd think this was a bit of top WUMing but I just don't know anymore.
Karljohn Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Family fox members should be the same as gold surely in terms of being able to get hold of the small number of season tickets that will be available?

Despite how successful we've been this season, they've kept it the same. There's nothing to be disappointed about here. If they would've increased it then it would have been a disgrace. Have you not read our arguments? The club will be making loads next season with TV, CL and our potential finish this season. That's the point here. Success shouldn't reflect ticket prices.
lcfcliam Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Hate growing up i will be paying 600 next year Good thing its been worth it
Ric Flair Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 also if you include champions league games (x3) which will undoubtedly be category A, that's if they don't make up a category A* as a special occasion, a season ticket in the kop for league and champions league will end up costing at least £120 more next year for 3 extra games. that's £535 for 22 games (£24 per game) compared to £415 for 19 games (about £21 per game). obviously nobody has to go to champs league games but they've played a blinder here. we'll basically all end up paying more and they announce a freeze so most people think they're the kindest, most compassionate folk in the land. CANT FCUKIN WAIT FOR THE FREE VOUCHERS TO SPEND IN BATE AND LUDOGRETS
Bramhall Fox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Can't believe people are moaning about this, regardless of the additional money they'll earn. Yes, they will charge for CL, but that's OK. They could have increased prices anyway, due to demand, as I imagine they could sell hundreds more, if not thousands. It will be interesting to see what other PL clubs are doing and how many of them are increasing, decreasing or freezing. However, regardless, after our success this year and the potential demand I, personally, think it's great they're being frozen for the 2nd year running and applaud the club for it.
ian_marshall Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Think this is very fair. Putting things into context irrespective of the TV deal next season the price is very cheap for a team that finished inside the top 4 in the previous season.
VLC86 Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 CANT FCUKIN WAIT FOR THE FREE VOUCHERS TO SPEND IN BATE AND LUDOGRETS Yes pal, instead of pie and pint it's a gallon and a blowie, nice.
pamPErSo Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Any chance for a ST from Gold? How early got to be at Stadium to have a chance to get one? That hopefully will be my first one.
Filbert_Ross Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Any chance for a ST from Gold? How early got to be at Stadium to have a chance to get one? That hopefully will be my first one. I'd queue now.
Bayfox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Do I get my 6 year old a season ticket or not? Only 40 quid and I can upgrade it to an adult if she can't come and take a friend or whoever that right? If she doesn't already have one. 2 points. You may struggle to get one. Who's not going to renew. On today's evidence it maybe season ticket holders only for cl games. Secondly. Don't get it in the family stand. I have a hint from Jim that upgrades in family stand may go from the 3 currently to none. And they may cut down elsewhere I have had daughters for 4 seasons now and have been warned this year that I have only used it 3 times without the upgrade and they may change things.
Strokes Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Usually I'd think this was a bit of top WUMing but I just don't know anymore. Not really, if I had a season ticket I'd be like 'yeah keep the prices down, football is way too much as it is' but I'm desperate to get back down, so would happily fork out an extra £300 on top to get my seat back.
promised land Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Family fox members should be the same as gold surely in terms of being able to get hold of the small number of season tickets that will be available? You better go and start queueing now fella, I can't see many not renewing unfortunately for the members.
