I think it's more to do with the fact that they will be able to charge whatever they want match by match and they know that people will lap them up.

Other clubs are reducing prices, we've got the added cost of CL still to come on top of the ST price and people react by saying: "good of them not to put the prices up" or "very generous of the board". When I see people so happy at not being completely and utterly taken advantage of I wonder might they as well just have completely taken the piss? Wouldn't these people then say: "wasn't as bad as I expected"

A group with Real Madrid, PSV and Benfica would provide vastly different commercial and financial opportunities to if we get Malmoe, Olympiarcos and Gent for example.

Livid Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Can't understand if they were freezing prices, no danger of going down, they weren't going to include European games etc why there was a delay. Not bothered but they could have announced a few weeks earlier and took 12 DD instalments instead of 11.

In the context of what a fair number of other clubs are doing with ticket prices at the moment, this really is no gesture at all.

On today's evidence it maybe season ticket holders only for cl games. Secondly. Don't get it in the family stand. I have a hint from Jim that upgrades in family stand may go from the 3 currently to none. And they may cut down elsewhere I have had daughters for 4 seasons now and have been warned this year that I have only used it 3 times without the upgrade and they may change things. cheers mate. ST only for the champions league!? is there that many corporate/away? im not really expecting to get 1 let alone 3. if anyone doesnt go for them i will be shocked. if not i will rebuy gold membership and await my turn.

Some teams are reducing tickets, but are they the teams that have essentially stood still this season? What's happened with us is unprecedented and (while we could be crap next season) we'll no doubt invest heavily in the summer and hopefully build on what we've started this season.

Munshi Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 For the amount of money the club will be making next season and from this season, let's face it a £50 reduction to ST prices wouldn't have even be felt by the owners. 50x30,000=1.5 million. That is absolutely nothing nowadays.
An Away Move Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Just came up with a cunning plan to upgrade my Gold Membership right now to a ST; my logic being that if some STHs were banned recently for touting then there must be a few ST available now. Told to wait until May 26th. No surprises there but worth a try, hey?!
