It's sad when the first 4 topics in the transfer forum are about players leaving. This summer has been a bit of a nightmare to be honest. Drinky is a must keep, just pay the man and move on to strengthening our squad not other people's.

Can't see Drinkwater leaving, no other club in Europe will take him and give him the game time he'd get with us. Pay him what he wants so he doesn't turn into that unhappy Drinkwater we had when Pearson was around.

We've been barely linked to anyone in the last 2-3 weeks bar Kapustka. Not that it should be any indication that we've finished our business but my gut feeling is that after Kapustka we're done and dusted.

It was an example, of course I'd rather see the club come out and end speculation by putting their foot down and telling any prospective buyer that they aren't for sale at any price. The fact is that Everton can do that with Lukaku and also Stones without the pull of Champions League football, they have a big club mentality and we should be saying similar. It appears that us winning the league hasn't sank in with whoever is dealing with the transfers this summer. We are the Champions of England for Christ's sake, act like it!

Agreed, Unless as I've said before we're going to become a selling club.

I think the problem is we don't have the personnel with the experience at the next level which were at now. So the club should be using a consultant with the experience. Someone like Karen Brady to advise our people while they learn.

Otherwise it'll become a costly learning curve losing millions to the big clubs while also decimating the Team.

Hmmmm I think our owners are a bit more business savvy than Brady . They are multi millionaires she's just a barrow girl compared to them.

I'm talking Football business wise, Susan Whelan is a brilliant Ceo in Business but Football is a different kettle of fish.

I'm talking about someone who is streetwise, because football is a dirty business.

I suggested Brady because she came to mind first but look at the job she done with Birmingham, then on to West Ham,

look where they are now in the space of 10 years. She even got them the Olympic Stadium. Not bad for someone who started out as a young Secretary in Birmingham.

Remember when Wellens was linked to a premier league team when his contract was nearly up. And Moore, and Schlupp and Simpson and..... well you get the idea.

So why are we not considering offering 20 m for Kane? Or 15m for  Deli Ali ?

Claudio has said himself our transfers are done well in fact He said 90% done the other 10% was just in case a remarkable player became available or we sold someone

This is agent talk, even if they are 'thinking' about bidding the club wouldn't sell as the midfield is built around Drinky.  I'm sure by next Monday he will have signed a new contract.

Drinkwater said at the time that he was happy to play at Leicester for his whole career, that was even when Pearson was here and they had a complicated relationship.  Now he is at a club where the fans love him, starts every game, PL medal and has played for England.  In the last year he has seemed more confident on the press side too.

Can't find the video as can't remember where I seen it but he is quoted here, this is regarding the kapustka deal

Hope he knows what he's doing if that's the case, I'd of liked a few more myself with all the comps we are in. I realise the wage budget has probably sky rocketed but we've paid out next to nothing in transfers fees

Always thought another CB would come in, but with Benny being injured he's unlikely to find a move any time soon. So he might fill that gap when he comes back. Creativity in the middle of the park still worries me, without DD in there I'm not sure where it's coming from. Seem to be putting a lot of faith in James to get back to full fitness to make up the numbers in there.

Kasper / Zieler

Fuchs / Chilwell

Morgan / Hernandez

Huth / Was / Benny

Simpson / Amartey

Albrighton / Kapustka / Schlupp

Drinkwater / King

Mendy / James

Mahrez / Gray

Vardy / Musa

Okazaki / Ulloa

That looks like a bloody strong squad to me. Don't know what all the fuss is about!

Seems as though we're ok with no real direct competition for RB. I don't think Amartey or Hernandez are clearly not entirely comfortable at RB but can do a job if required. Fine with me as I thought Simpson was one of the best right backs in the league last season.

I have the same concerns in the centre of the park - with Kante being so integral to our style of play and effectively being an extra man I'm afraid we could be over run all too easily. Playing without possession is ok as long as we can win it back regularly enough and drive forward. To me Mendy looks a lot more like DD so unless we're planning on changing our style a little it's a slight concern. Perhaps Kapustka could be that other creative midfielder - by the sounds of it he is very versatile and has played as a CM as well as a ACM.

When you think 6 of that lot aren't making the bench each week. Can see Chilwell, Benny, Was, James missing most of them.... plus one of the wingers and a striker. You add a few more players in and surely some more would need to go out.

Reminds me of my early 20s when i said i was done being a male whore. Swore to be a more loyal man and then proceeded to be a male whore at the first opportunity.

If last night taught us anything it was that Danny needs offering whatever he wants.  Will be massive for us this season.
