Spurs don't need him. They are already top heavy in that area and need to offload.

Exactly they have Ryan Mason why would they want Drinkwater

He spoke out recently about his contract negotiations being awkward (or words to that effect). This could just be his agent hurrying the club along.

I'd bet a fortune that he's here for next season, and even potentially for the rest of his career.

yea....let him go, fcuk this holding the club to ransom. We should have let Vardy go and reduce the wages of anyone wanting out....except Kante....should have offered him a lifetime contract at 1/4 mil per week inflation proofed. lol where did I put me tin hat?

Not sure whether this is a greed factor of the players Agents or other clubs trying to unsettle us. We certainly looked anything but settled vs PSG, but clearly the lads were all having a great time in US of A.

Every season they do stock up on centre mids, got six or seven in contention for first team football now if you consider Dier a midfielder. So with Spurs though it wouldnt really surprise me.

Doubt Danny will go there though, he needs a new contract as he isnt far off starting for England if he keeps standards up. Was more worried about ManU picking up an interest at the end of last season

DD has said he'll spend his whole career here if we want him to.

Next.

Yeh that's all good if true but we need to offer him a new deal asap instead of messing around and giving team's the chance to turn his head. This should of been wrapped up weeks ago.

Everton have apparently told Chelsea that unless they meet their 75m valuation of Lukaku then he will remain an Everton player this season. Why can't we do that? 80m for Mahrez and 40m for Drinkwater or they both stay.

Why even do that?

They are under contract and worth more than that to us.

I certainly wouldn't sell Drinky for £40m.

It was an example, of course I'd rather see the club come out and end speculation by putting their foot down and telling any prospective buyer that they aren't for sale at any price. The fact is that Everton can do that with Lukaku and also Stones without the pull of Champions League football, they have a big club mentality and we should be saying similar. It appears that us winning the league hasn't sank in with whoever is dealing with the transfers this summer. We are the Champions of England for Christ's sake, act like it!

The club have never (in my recollection) done any dealing via the media.

They dont make statements about players availability.

they may well have told arsenal et all that RM is not for sale. (Or indeed put a high price on his head )

The fact that we don't know doesn't mean it hasn't been stated.
