davieG Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Liverpool and Chelsea eye up DrinkwaterLiverpool and Chelsea will consider a move for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian newspaper report that the England midfielder is on the Premier League duo's radar after he played a key role in City's march to the title. Drinkwater is just the next of City's star players to be linked with moves, with Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante already subject of speculation with European giants like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. MPH Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 pleased for him that he's finally getting some recognition for what he achieved last season.
Guest Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Can't see him leaving personally, as Dan says we'd better get used to this
stevelcfc Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 This will become tiresome and irritating, the season hasn't even ended yet and already we've sold half the team. Personally don't think anyone significant will leave.
Libertine Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Why would he go to either of them? We are in Champions League, man!
SecretPro Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 . AS IF DRINKY WOULD LEAVE! In his interview at the training ground he said this group is amazing and that there would never be any other group like this. As if he's going to leave after getting us to the champions league to go and play for either of hose tin pot piles of sh*t. Cracks me up.
Fox92 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 I can't see him being remotely interested considering he's already experienced not playing at a big club because of better players ahead of him.
jayfox26 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Yeh I'll leave a fantastic squad behind where I play every week and the fans love me to go and sit on the bench at Chelsea or Liverpool and play in the league cup. I don't know what will happen more this summer, us being linked to random players all round the world or our players being linked to so called "big teams"
The Doctor Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 If it were any other season and they were champions league I'd get it, but why would he leave a champions league team where he's a key player and not even get some better games and tournaments to play in?
sdb Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Agents wanting a better deal i'm sure. Fair enough but shame it has to be done like this. We just need to be really clear no one is for sale and keep it like that. As soon as one goes others will turn their heads, so let's say categorically that no one is for sale. ...and get NG signed up to a proper contract!!!
Corky Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 He's a huge Man United fan, can't see him considering Liverpool.
Stadt Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Christ, Liverpool will improve under Klopp but they're currently 8th in the league, they're quite likely to finish outside the top 4 again and I'd back us to make the europa league as well. The shocking thing is that it would still improve his England chances ffs
GaelicFox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 He is. United fan , his whole family are season ticket holders at OT , not a chance he will play for Liverpool , ever

The shocking thing is that it would still improve his England chances ffs Your point about England is true but if we can stay top 6 then I'd think our players would start being looked at more favorably.
HoustonFox Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 This will become tiresome and irritating, the season hasn't even ended yet and already we've sold half the team. Personally don't think anyone significant will leave. This. I'm bored already with our players being linked to leave and moveto better teams than the champions. Only real comparison I have (or have time to look) is Blackburn. They didn't sell anyone of note.
Mezeker Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Christ, Liverpool will improve under Klopp but they're currently 8th in the league, they're quite likely to finish outside the top 4 again and I'd back us to make the europa league as well. Stadt Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 id put bank on Liverpool inthe top 3. I think i probably will put at least 5 grand on it depending on summer transfers.eh?
The Doctor Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 eh? - Liverpool are looking pretty good but with Chelsea and Man City coming back into it, Spurs looking well set for the future, Arsenals inability to not finish 4th, Man Utd probably getting Mourinho you can't really put anyone down for a banker champions league spot at the end of next season. Except us as holders of course.
sdb Posted 21 May 2016 Posted 21 May 2016 Get into the CL, triple the bid and you've got a small chance.
