bet woy is still kicking himself(and rightly so) that he didn't take drinky to the euros, but it worked perfectly for us because england didn't **** him

Genuinely doubt he regrets not taking Drinkwater, think in his eyes he will always have made the right decisions throughout the tournament too; take playing Kane/sterling/433 all tournament

If last night taught us anything it was that Danny needs offering whatever he wants.  Will be massive for us this season.

Massively impressed last night. One of the best performances I have seen from him. Shinji also.

Two years ago I was one of DD biggest critics because he played with his head down watching the ball, Now he plays with his head up and watching the play.

What an improvement, he's now a top midfielder and his non appearence was very much the reason England failed miserably in the Euros.

It's quite simple really you either pick players on form knowing what you will  get from them or you pick players to do a job in a system. Roy done neither.

He's the Scholes replacement Man Utd always wanted but they let him go. Hope he hits those levels for us, would be gutted if he left.

For the love of god just give him what he wants FFS.

Absolute hero in midfield for us - if Danny were to go (which I'm sure he won't) we'd be a lot worse off for it.

I reckon if he plays like last season and doesn't get picked for England again he may want a move.

Apparently he just bought Schlupp's house off him in Desford. So, I guess that means he's staying. Dunno what it says about Schlupp though.

Schlupp lived in Countesthorpe up until a year ago from what I remember. I saw his horrendous car parked up there a few times.

Shakey just announced as part of the England coaching staff so every reason for DD to stay and get the international recognition her deserves.

Shakespeare announced as england coach...

All over sky sports and as an England fan whatever you think of Big Sam getting someone in from last seasons runaway champions is a breath of fresh air for the England set up. Also of course Shakey is staying with us so win win for us and England.

You got the impression that he felt he did nothing wrong all tournament and that the players let him down in a freak result against Iceland. That would be the kind of arrogance I expect from him.

It's just amazing watching Drinkwater and thinking that England leave someone that good at home because they still pick a squad around club or 'rep'

Big season this for DD. Career defining imho. He isn't as good as Scholes yet, but he's edging closer.

Drinky is a fantastic player... but he's nowhere near Scholes' level.
