Jimbo Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Just to start, this isn't a topic to discuss plastic fans or real fans. This thread is about people we know personally. The ones that didn't really care about football, and certainly didn't care about Leicester City. They never spoke about football, they wouldn't stay awake to watch match of the day, or in old money terms the dreaded football league show and it's regular 15 seconds covering Leicester! But now, because they're from Leicester they suddenly are die hard fans. And speak of how proud they are. I have 2 people that annoy the hell out of me at the moment. 1) I'm sure we all know this guy. How he went to filbert street in the 80's. He's a fan, that is clear, but he hasn't been in years! In fact the only time he's been to the King Power is when I had a ticket spare and literally no one else to give it to. And left well before the end of the game and missed Waghorn goal against Bristol City! But now all he wants to talk about is Leicester. Never showed this much interest before! And all he'll tell you about is when he used to go down, and now moans about things like the queues for the new shirt etc. Facebook posts galore about Leicester. Nothing for years, now it's LCFC overload! 2) The mother in law! Oh my f**king god!!! She really does my head in about it! She won't shut up talking about football when I'm around! I don't know about you lot, but I don't like talking about football with someone who knows absolutely nothing about it! I don't have the patience for it! Now she's suddenly the world's biggest leicester fan, "knows" all there is to know! Has an opinion on everything! Like Leicester City football club was only founded 2 years ago! I get that these people are from Leicester, and as a city, a whole county, we should be proud. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but please don't pretend to love Leicester City as much as I do! Surely we all know someone who has not only jumped on the band wagon but is trying to steer it in the right direction! No arguments about plastics please, let's keep it personal and vent our frustrations! Go on, feel free to rant
stretch1965 Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 One in particular was interviewed on Tuesday saying he supported Liverpool last season but now supports Leicester. Eff off thats why we have manu for supporters like him. Grrrrrrrr
lgfualol Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 The ones on Reddit that switched alliances this season and shit talk making us all look like nobs. Apart from that. All aboard.
Raw Dykes Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Mahrez fanboys i'm afraid. Absolutely. Most of the posts by them are clearly by people who aren't fans of the club in the slightest, and couldn't care less whether we existed or not. They don't seem to have any shame in letting us know, either. Fvck 'em.
Jimbo Posted 6 May 2016 Author Posted 6 May 2016 I forgot to mention, the guy who went in the 80's keeps pronouncing the players names wrong too!! Every time he mentioned Daniel Almaty I just wanted to punch him square in the face!!!
Wolfox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 No ranting here.... Welcome to all of them.... I would question it more if people who lived in the city didn't get swept away with it all... You don't have to have owned a season ticket since 1978 to appreciate and take deep joy in what's happening to our beloved City...
HankMarvin Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 All the people that have joined in 2016 How could you not want to comment on all the shit we have been through in the past 10 years

Like I said as a City we should all be proud of the achievement. Whether you like football or not. My missus is one of those people who doesn't get football. Doesn't understand it and could not care less about it. Bit even she is getting caught up in it all. What she doesn't do though is try and talk about it all like she's been a massive fan all of her life. Enjoy the occasion by all means. Get caught up in the emotion of it all. But if you call yourself a fan I expect you to know who Josh Low is! Honestly, this isn't a rant, meant to be more in the way of light hearted banter.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 "I'm American and since I have to be as niche and alternative as possible to give me a reason to exist I chose a club that would make me look as hipster as possible on the Internet" Go away you ****tards.
lifted*fox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 If you can't ignore them and rise above it then you're in for a bumpy ride tbh. ****ing hell, life is a bit too short to be worrying about what some next man bandwagon-jumper thinks. "I was here first and I don't want anyone else enjoying my club's success because they weren't at X/Y club on that cold Tuesday night back in League One." That's what it sounds like. Get over it - nobody is going to take away all of the years you've put in supporting Leicester, don't worry.

It's not to be taken too seriously Stop picking on me!! Sorry mate :-)
Bayfox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 All of them. Ones that know **** all about us. Any that think this is normal. Anyone over 40 that wasn't at all 7 Wembley games in the 90s and 00s. Ones that have flown over from Thailand with tickets they got at home via KP. But this is what our owners wanted so therefore if we love out owners then this is what we signed up for. Personally I guess we have to embrace it. However I still believe. It means more to those who saw Carlisle away, Plymouth away, Southend and Crewe away. But what can you do. Think of the money Oh and as you asked originally about yokals. The ***** I went school with who followed spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal etc. And now as you say are from Leicester make out cuz they once got tickets to Wembley in 92 or 93. Think they own a piece of it. Rant over. Time for bed. Huge day tomorrow. I guess the only upshot is the ***** who I went school with won't be there.
GaelicFox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 The mouth pieces on this forum that take the higher ground and are rather patronising to people about all things LCFC and they don't even have seaosn tickets What in Christ name is that all About ?
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 None of them are as annoying as the "where were you when we were poo?" brigade. It's almost like they want us to be struggling in the championship with 18k every week.

filbertway Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Definitely agree with the people that know nothing about football. It's painful listening to them regurgitate facts but have no useful opinion.
TrentFox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Tom Hanks. Wan?er. Where was he at Yeovil away? Plastic.
