does anybody else think the lap of honour could have been better

personally think the lap of honour was slightly tarnished by the amount of people who were on the pitch engulfing the players they hardly had time to wave to the kop in fact only a few really acknowledged  the supporters there{mind you had a good view of the picture of king of thailand}

Thought it was great, just shows how big a family the club is, and obviously meant a lot to the players and owners. Drinkwater's nephew stole the show though little legend!

I agree. The more people you add the more you create a barrier between the fans and the players. I don't think it's too much to ask for just the players and the staff to do the lap of honour so that they and the fans can wave goodbye to the season.

They can always invite their families onto the pitch afterwards of course.

Certainly a load more jumping on the wagon than the Championship promotion one! I guess the players would have wanted everyone they cared about with them since the enormity of the achievement.

Clearly Kasper had asked for a few more bodies after last time. Every bouncer in Leicester present it seemed lol

Don't like the King of Thailand shite, but Jordan said it the other day- I'm sure the owners don't have much choice themselves...

Nope. Families/staff/people behind the scenes deserve to have their moments with the players and manager too.

Always something to moan about on here lol.

Don't the fans also deserve to have a few moments to thank the people who were directly involved in the season?

Looking on I saw lot of of people who just didn't seem that relevant. For me that took away from what the whole purpose of the lap of honour is intended to be. I just didn't feel like applauding what was essentially a family outing rather than a moment of mutual appreciation between fans and players.

As I've suggested, these people can always be invited on after the lap of honour is completed so I'm not even denying them this opportunity.

no, you saw people that weren't relevant to you

But they were clearly and obviously relevant to the people that were down there and had worked that hard to achieve what they had.

You speak as if that's not relevant but it's actually crucial.

If the lap of honour is an opportunity for the fans to thank players and for the players to do likewise - and I think it is - then having people who aren't relevant to the fans dilutes the purpose of it.

Now of course it's quite understandable that the players should want to celebrate with their families, but there are many opportunities for them to do that, they don't have to do it during the lap of honour. A meal, a holiday in Thailand, a night in or inviting them on after the lap is done are all possibilities. I don't think it's asking much for the fans to have a moment alone with the people who they have stood with and supported all season.

Wasn't the best lap in all honesty. Players very spread apart and mixed in with way too many people. Not a big deal though really in the grand scheme of things.

thinking about it it wasn't the best thing going lol

only really saw kingy drinkwater and albrighton at the back, the rest just seemed to huddle in the middle.

thinking about it i couldn't really give a shit though. we won the league.

Perfection is not possible in this life. Even if it were, the moaners/haters would find something to complain about.

I'm not a Leicester fan, but I've never been happier for a club to win the Premiership than the Foxes this year. It's been such a remarkable achievement, and such a generally happy and positive one, epitomised by the wonderful Claudio Ranieri.

Thank you StanSP, Dodgy Bob, and a couple of others. Your posts confirm that I don't have to think that the Leicester fans as a whole are a load of mean-spirited narrow-minded whingers. Most Leicester fans really did deserve this incomparable season.

I hope you do well next season in both the PL and the CL.

No, they've earn the right to celebrate how they see fit. Likewise with the owners and Top with the trophy, just showed how much it means.

Its hardly like they ignored us, they went on a lap of honour to show it off to us and applaud us and vice versa.

Its the little things like when they were lifting the trophy and us in the east stand couldn't see because Barclays put a ****ing banner across the entire thing, so Jamie hung over the back to acknowledge us and join in with our celebrations that I'll remember.

As I keep saying, the fact this is even something to moan about is crazy, unbelievable and ridiculous in equal measure.

For so many years we had too many irrelevant people on the pitch DURING GAMES!!, at this point in time I couldnt give a soggy rats ar5e about who was out there after we have WON THE LEAGUE. :)

Since when are laps of honour up for debate on how good they are? lol

Anybody moaning about this needs to get a hold of themselves. What? Haven't this team/club provided enough for you? lol

lol we won the premier League and some clown has a grumble about the lap of honor......seriously you just could not make it up. Only a leicester fan could still find something to moan about. lol incredible

Vichai deserves his moment is the sun. He is the only one in the club that believes LCFC can mount a challenge against the PL top five club. He appointed Pearson and Raineri and funded the project with passion and generosity. LCFC won two major trophies in 3 years; the fans are having the best time of their life. Leicester City is world famous. Why should people feel upset?

I think the players and staff more than deserve to be surround by the people who have supported them through their careers and share with them their greatest ever achievement in professional football. Put yourself in their position .......would you not want to share that moment with your nearest and dearest!!!!

As for the owners they quite rightly deserved an opportunity to parade the trophy and in fairness it looked like Top was pointing to the fans to say this is for you. They have given us our club back and also been very focused in ensuring that the fans are treated well and made to feel part of the success. For me I thought it was great to see, everybody has played a part in this title triumph including the whole squad, backroom staff, owners, club employees, the players families and the supporters so it was great to see our greatest moment celebrated like a big family.

A few non-Leicester fans at work (and I at the time) thought Top was on a massive ego-trip but to be fair I think he was looking round on occasion looking for someone to hand it off to... Unfortunately the players were going so slowly he probably thought it best to just keep going.

Lack of Status Quo was a bigger issue imo.

EDIT before the 'ffs always something to moan about' brigade arrive, I'm sure people are not really that concerned, it's just an observation.
