Half expecting the front page of BBC to be replaced from Muhammed Ali in Pictures to the pic for Vardy's lookalike doing the 'all ****ing me' pic while it changes to Vardy in Pictures'.

You are really saying that 1.2 million sets you up for life, no worries, everything is in the bag? Do you know much about pensions then...

Try 16 million, that's what his current contract with us is worth.

<insert childhood emotional story that made me a fan?

You don't need to, it's obvious you aren't. You've made that very clear in threads before this one. You don't have a clue what you're on about.

i always wonder what players who leave like this' teammates reckon to it all. people like drinkwater an matty james an kingy. they're his best mates and he's just sacking them off for a bit of "glitz and glamour". i'd kick him out the whatsapp group n everything.

They're adults so I'm sure they handle it like adults.

*but he does have to get kicked out of the WhatsApp group

Yeh I call that greed pal.

If my dementing Granny was stuck in a shitty state-funded care home for 20 years, being humiliated and degraded, sitting for hours in her own piss, in what remains of our so-called 'social care' system, I for one would love to be able to do something about it.

Depends how you define greed really...

no point arguing amongst ourselves

in the voice of ivan drago    "if he goes then he goes"

the club must have replacements lined up and keeping kante and mahrez is prob their main priority i mean cmon mahrez is the player of the year ffs

if our team looked like this against united in the community sheild people would be saying jamie who

----------------------------------kasper------------------------------------

simpson----------huth-------------------morgan-----------------fuchs

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

mahrez-----------drinkwater---------kante--------------albrighton/schlupp

although i fully expect to see this kind of thread several times before the season starts  kasper, mahrez, kante , drinkwater are all going to be in this position

No-one trotting out this "provide for his family" justifying this is being serious are they? He's on phenomenal money no matter what he does. It is greed.

There is no safety net in this country mate, it's just a big fat lie. We are all on our own, fighting amongst ourselves like rats in a cage.

That's my opinion anyway, and if I could insulate myself from that, I would.

this is how im feeling if Vardy leaves then so be it many more pace merchants out there easily replaced out of the top 3 players we have

They have one of the worst owners in all of pro sports. The people I Saint Louis want to string him up for leaving town and moving the NFL team to Los Angeles.

Also if you look at his track record with his basketball, hockey and soccer teams in Denver they are pretty awful.

The Avs could be worse. The Nuggets, on the other hand, are shit and will always be shit.

It's relative though isn't it. An increase from £80k a week to £120k a week, yeah it's obviously good for him, but is it so good, and so life changing that you would turn your back on the absolute perfect platform for it? It's a massive risk on his behalf and I think come January, should he go, he will be regretting it.

Actually, having disagreed with you before, I quite like this point.

I think I'm going to bed. Maybe reading the whole thread was a mistake.  lol

So much rage and so little reliable info...

A little harsh, given that if you're posting regularly on FoxesTalk you probably give half a damn regardless of who is wearing the blue.

to be fair he bank rolled the nuggets when they had carmelo way past the luxury tax, back in 07,08,09.

It is greed because it is greed, anyone who thinks earning 4 MILLION a year is not enough is being greedy.

Market forces is a term used by people trying to justify greed and injustice.

Look, £120k is 150% of his current salary. Let's also consider his branding. That's a lot of dough being splashed around with an Arsenal move.

I'm going to be slightly gutted if he bails on us...but that's a huge amount of money, no matter how you look at it. Call it greed, sure. Just don't act like you wouldn't have your head turned.

You ****ing what, foxes ****ing talk, get a grip of yourself, I will be pissed off and gutted as anyone if he of any of our heroes go, but I'm a realist. They gave me and thousands others something I thought I would never see. I applaud everyone who made it happen. From the owners to the ground staff to the players.

If he goes he goes, I still won't , Leicester through and through

What happened this year is unimaginable , and feel my life is complete .

So we're all a bunch of bandwagon fvckers for getting upset about our talisman potentially going to a despicable club? That's not a fair assessment and you know it.

I genuinely think if he goes there there'll end up being rumours that he comes back here. I just cannot see it working out for him. It's not even the fact the pay increase isn't THAT significant, it's joining a club where I just cannot see him fitting.

Nothing about Vardy fits Arsenal. Nothing what so ever.

It would just be such a sad move in my eyes. You're taking an unlikely hero from the unlikely heroes and putting him so far out of his comfort zone that it could finish him, all for the sake of a pay increase that really isn't that significant in the grand scheme of things.

Ive seen loads of bollocks on here, slagging his wife off etc. , what that sort of shit shows is fickle so called fans, who have never seen our best players leave, we are not one of the biggest clubs. We can aspire to be, but we are not. Don't get too ****ing upset, this is what happens.

I will also add that all the media and Twitter bollocks is oneupmanship. Grab the headlines first, then there's a million meltdowns , a sign of today's insecure society.

Chinese ****ing whispers atm, and if he does go, as I said I will be pissed as the next, but I will say thank you. You gave us something I never ever thought I would see in my lifetime.

120k per week for 4 years is about 24m. Add in a possible signing on fee of (say) 6m, gives a guaranteed total of 30m, say 15m after tax even if he's on the bench. That's a lot of wedge, very hard to say no to. Certainly sets him up for life, even in the footballer/wag lifestyle to which he is becoming accustomed.

Also, more opportunities for sponsorship income, etc. Seems that perhaps this is his focus now.

Shame, but can't really blame him with his late start in the big income league. We'll have to move on and hope that a suitable replacement can be found.

I had hoped that the team would stay together for one last season, and that with some additional signings we could have made a solid showing in the Champions League. The worry is of course that Mahrez & Kante might be more tempted to leave, perhaps Drinkwater as well. In that case we might struggle with all our commitments in the coming season.

Hopefully none of this will come to pass. Nothing can take away the sheer brilliance of this season though - something I never expected in my lifetime.
