RedSoxUK Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I'm looking past the £20m figure or the £15 we don't even need. I smile in the knowledge we plucked a gem from the non-league with a low fee and a low wage and he's done so much more than any Arsenal player could dream of doing. Them coming round after plucking our scout, are taking Vardy probably post-peak, post-30 on a 4-year deal and over 100k a week. We're still shrewd, we still won the league, Arsenal are still bastards.
Matt Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Chat shit and leave... Chat shit and leave.... Chat shit and leave, Chat shit and leave, Chat shit and leave.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Good to see that no-one is taking this personally. Seems like a done deal with betting on a move to Arsenal now suspended on Sky. If that's the case then THANK YOU for the goals last year Jamie, good luck with your future career, I think you may need it at Arsenal. You'll be going from one of the first names on the team-sheet to a squad player that will have to get used to rotation. Be careful what you wish for son, I for one will not post anything abusive, even though I think you are making a mistake.
urban.spaceman Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Seriously Jamie, if it's money you're after just wait until the movie comes out!
Fox 4 Life Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Chat shit and leave... Chat shit and leave.... Chat shit and leave, Chat shit and leave, Chat shit and leave. This needs to be belted out when the skinny twat comes to the KP next season.
Happy Fox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 We ahowed faith in him, I think it's incredibly disrespectful to throw that away for what? Maybe the kid doesn't realise that our owners mean f**king business. Our club isnt stagnant. We will move forward in Dilly ding dilly dong style
RowlattsFox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Will mahrez and Kante get similar hatred if/when they leave?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 If he had just been more reserved about his future, and not spouting so much sh*t around I would have not been bitter, just disappointed, but with what he was saying this seems like a kick up the arse
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 If/When he leaves I hope the club will allow fans a shirt exchange for the coming season.
Fox 4 Life Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Will mahrez and Kante get similar hatred if/when they leave? No because they have never come out and said they would stay.
GingerrrFox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 This is worse than what Delph did. Definitely, Delph left a team going nowhere for the opportunity to be part of a squad that wins trophies and plays European football. Vardy is leaving to go to a side that hasn't won the league in over a decade for money.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 If/When he leaves I hope the club will allow fans a shirt exchange for the coming season. Haha no chance
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Will mahrez and Kante get similar hatred if/when they leave? Not at all, they have been more reserved about the way they feel. Vardy with everything he said had me believing 100% he was never going to leave. Plus Arsenal of all teams too, makes me depressed
Arkie Bennett Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 It was Mark McGhee who spoke about loyalty when we were all getting worked up about him leaving, and although he turned out to be mediocre at best he was right. Like all professional footballers, Vardy knows his career is limited, and he will do what he can make the most money in the shortest time. Very few footballers get the chance to receive the money that comes with a move to Arsenal. Medals, awards and fan admiration won't keep Vardy and his family in the lifestyle they've become accustomed to. We'll always remember him with varying degrees of fondness as part of the legendary squad that won the Premier League, but he'll also be remembered as the one who started to break it up. Vardy may not suit Arsenal's style, might win nothing and may not even play many matches. That won't matter a jot to Vardy. It's a clever move by Arsenal to take away a rival team's key player; potentially it could weaken us more than it will strengthen them, but this could also be a shrewd move by our owners to capitalise on a player at his peak who has really only enjoyed one full season of success at the top level. When Cambiasso left (with enough class to not falsely declare his loyalty to City beforehand), we didn't expect what came next. We'll survive without Vardy, and it may even make us stronger. Remember singing "four-nil to the one man team"?
FireFox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Will mahrez and Kante get similar hatred if/when they leave? No. They didn't engineer a cheap release clause and say they'd stay and that money wasn't their main concern. (Kante's release clause was fine at the time of him signing.)

Need the club to announce something positive soon
Jakemoore Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I'm 22 years old. I cannot remember us losing a player that I genuinely wanted us to keep. I supose the closest feeling to this would be when Nugent left us. This is 1000 times worse. Genuinely hurting, it's ridiculous what football can do to you. But like many have said, I saw a band of brother last season, a bond which could achieve unthinkable things. And now our future is clouded with uncertainty. We NEED to sign a big name striker soon or I think Mahrez and Kante will be off too.
MC Prussian Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Not at all, they have been more reserved about the way they feel. Vardy with everything he said had me believing 100% he was never going to leave. Plus Arsenal of all teams too, makes me depressed There were only two domestic teams that could've pinched Vardy from us and that's either Arsenal or Spurs. It's part of his clause saying that only English clubs who are competing in the Champions League 2016/2017 are able to approach him.
weller54 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Will mahrez and Kante get similar hatred if/when they leave? It's definitely WHEN!

Would have been nice of him to consider that third team who are in the champs league, you know the ones that plucked him out of non league and stuck by him when he considered retiring oh and made him a premier league champion in the process. ****
Lesta Legend Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I wonder about the mental well being of some on here, if he goes he goes, some people seem to take this far to personally. Others won't even believe what's being written in the press, like it's some made up rumour from a parody Twitter account. If the club only get £15 million (after Fleetwoods take) then the club ultimately are being shafted, but we'll have to wait and see on that one. If Vardy does go he'll have shown he's two faced like most in this game but I'll always appreciate what he did for us - those memories will live long in the memory! I think this will take the shine off the euros however half Spanish I can always support Spain, silver lining and all that.
