MCaineFOTT Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Vardy would be views as an absolute ****** if he leaves now.... if he dont want to stay, then goodbye, i hope he plays awful, gets benched and sold to Hull next summer.
dogadug Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Odds gone from 1/6 on to 1/2 on. People backing him to stay with us still hope yet
wattolcfc Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I think Soulsby should declare Tuesday a national day of mourning.
dayday Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Go back 15 years, Arsenal were a great counter attacking team, all of a sudden he changed his tactics. For some reason Wenger decided to go all tippy tappy continental style and from that day Arsenal have done nothing. Last season has opened his eyes and at the end he said I have to study how Leicester have done it. So straight away signed a player very similar to Drinkwater, now he wants to sign Vardy It doesn't take much working out Wenger is going back to the old days that served him well.
ronnup Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 nore likely he had a long chat with Wayne 'how to increase a contract' Rooney and he's after the dollar.
Chrysalis Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 looks like the England appearances were an audition for arsenal

WengersWingMan Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Have I just read people comparing Vardy to Bony and Lambert? You shouldn't be that fussed if he's leaving if he's that average then should you really? Because both are really average and I don't think Vardy is. I think his movement, pace and finishing is a huge upgrade compared to what we have. Sorry that you're losing one of your best players, we've experienced it plenty of times, we all have.

Over the last decade or so we've been paying off a huge stadium while having a profit focused owner which has made us completely uncompetitive in the transfer market. Look at our net spend before the last 2/3 years.
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 According to one report, Wilshere has been key in luring Vardy to Arsenal (if he goes). But Wilshere now linked with Man City. That will be ironic!
southfox66 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 So Leicester, Champions of England, may not even have 1 representation for England! Wales or Austria it is then
splinterdream Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Well, if history is any guide in these sort of situations, he probably will flop. Leicester's style is tailor made for Vardy. That doesn't mean he can't be effective in other systems, but to be honest, he's had one effective season in his career and he's 29. He could very well be a one season wonder. If he fails at the euros and doesn't hit the ground running at Arsenal, it could be confidence gone and back to his old self. If he leaves, I hope he does fail to be honest. If he goes of course we will want him to fail, he'll be competing against ourselves
dylanlegend Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Now he's on the verge of signing for Arsenal, when I see a picture of him he's got one of those faces you just want to slap.... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6800362/Jamie-Vardys-fiance-reveals-stunning-romp-with-Peter-Andre.html

Sorry that you're losing one of your best players, we've experienced it plenty of times, we all have.It could definitely go that way. Don't get me wrong he's been absolutely outstanding this season but he only looks that good when a team is set up to get the best out of him.England do not set up to get the best out of him and 90% of his time in an England shirt he's looked distinctly average and thats being generous. His 90 minutes against San Marino being the case and point, even if you are on the left of an attacking trio its San Marino.
Kitchandro Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Wales or Austria it is then TBH I'm supporting anyone playing England. Imagine if King scored the winner against them
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Does anyone actually want him to stay, if the truth has been told and he has been looking to move away, whilst say he doesn't want to move?
deano1 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Although i think vardy is a good player lets put things in context 29 going on 30 , game based on pace so will be getting slower soon, one good season at top level how many penalties in total , team still won without him in side and not really having a other striker with any pace ,so a younger replacement would not score for us after all its the other players that create the chances 20 to 30 million for a player that on all probability has just peaked in a poor premiership this season, on the whole if you look at the champions league [ of which vardy has never appeared] the strikers are top drawer his he in that league time will tell i would take the money and run and invest in some younger strikers i do not think we will miss him that long there are some players we would miss far more .
Monsell1976 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 **** vardy if he wants to go, I trust Claudio to get in a good replacement. Claudio is an experienced manager, he would have seen these summer Windows before, I trust he has things under control, even if he loses players who don't appreciate the club and manager, that got them noticed, and won them a medal, they may never win again. Going to Arsenal or Chelsea will guarantee a big pay packet, not success.
dylanlegend Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Wales or Austria it is then Ironically if he goes, it will make me support England more. The thing that frustrated me was not using Vardy enough, if he goes to Arsenal I hope he never makes the pitch
Guest Manini Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 This lad has come from literally nothing, to being offered 100 grand a week. I don't believe any of you would sit there and turn that down to show loyalty to a club which, let's be honest, means very little to him. The shirt is only on loan lads, the only ones it means anything to really...is us!

tsintskaro Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 just checked first page of this topic so much optimistic duh

I can't remember an England player looking good against anyone in the last 15 years. Certainly not against San Marino, where everyone just thiinks 'oh it's San Marino, I'll try and dribble it in from the halfway line and not pass to anyone'. Some very bitter people on here. We're all gutted but some of this stuff is just nonsense.
