This medical stuff is nonsense. He's with the England team. Why would he be in the England international team if there was something up with him. They would have done vigorous checks before announcing the full squad. Arsenal won't even bother with it

West Ham? lol

If true it seems like he's chasing the biggest payday but it's  his job so what's  new.

West Ham believed they had clinched a deal to take Jamie Vardy to the club at around £105k a week before they were hit by new inflationary demands in negotiations.

Arsenal are now big favourites to clinch a deal for the Leicester City striker on a deal whic is close to be around £120k a week.

But ClaretandHugh can reveal  the player looked to be on his way to the Olympic Stadium six weeks ago when we understand his advisors had agreed he would sign for around £90k a week plus £15k for every first team appearance .

But when the two sides sat down to iron out the details they were told there was new interest and that a deal would cost them around £125k-£150k a week pus appearance fees.

We believe that Liverpool had also been made aware of his availability but dropped their interest when they were quoted personal terms  of £140k a week.

Now the Gooners are close to agreeing a transfer fee of £20 million with City whilst offering the player £120k a week.

A Hammers source told ClaretadHugh: “We thought we had a deal and it came as a surprise when the fee moved up so dramatically – there was a lot going on behind the scenes with other clubs!”

I get the feeling Vardy and his agent are just cheeky chavs conning their way into as many free lunches and promo gear as they can get  lol

would seem crazy, to sacrifice the chance of champions league football at 30, must me more to this than meets the eye ie he hasn't got what he wanted from this club?

That's rubbish. If you're paying someone that much money for 4 years you're going to make sure there are no problems that could crop up in the near future.

So not only have we agreed to a poor release clause there's also a 25% sell on clause with fleetwood lol lol lol we're going to end up with peanuts

What is taking so long? Why cant they just say yeah done deal bla bla get him out of here so we can move on and be over and done with this whole **** he should come out and say summit weather thats a stay or go cos am getting fed up with all this **** now

I'm pretty sure Ben Wrigglesworth knows a lot about it all considering he used to be at Leicester and is probably still in contact with Leicester staff

They don't just check on fitness they check on any long term hidden issues. No club won't do a medical.

Do people not understand release clauses?

Hi Fanazar

Is another player not possible as part of the deal under a release clause. Genuine question.

Posted

people on Twitter saying the deal is done who would be quite embarrassed to be wrong. I really think arsenal feel they have done the deal but if he hasn't actually signed a contract then it isn't actually done. I would be astonished if Roy will allow the squad to fly out tomorrow without this being sorted out. he will be putting pressure on the two sides to make the agreement or declare it a non starter (for public consumption).

And no insurance company will issue a policy without one. no medical = no deal. (Although one could be done 'subject to medical')

Anyone else after all that's come to light with him being touted and clearly aware of it, it's best for him to move on? I can't imagine him getting the worship he would have received from us all if he'd not took this route.

What gets me is he's come out and said 'im staying' then worked toward the opposite. If he'd have came out and stated that he'd acheived what he can with the club and he'd never too off the miraculous season we had and he wanted to leave, Id be sad but accepting.

He's decided to either go behind the clubs back and prostitute himself or try and rinse the club that not only plucked him from nowhere but also stuck by him through a lot of sh!t including the racism.

For me he had gone from near diety to a greedy lad looking out for himself with no loyalty. Either way the club need to stand up and look strong.

It's got nothing to do with Roy and he has no influence over it.
