West Ham believed they had clinched a deal to take Jamie Vardy to the club at around £105k a week before they were hit by new inflationary demands in negotiations.

I really think arsenal feel they have done the deal but if he hasn't actually signed a contract then it isn't actually done. I would be astonished if Roy will allow the squad to fly out tomorrow without this being sorted out. he will be putting pressure on the two sides to make the agreement or declare it a non starter (for public consumption).

Anyone else after all that's come to light with him being touted and clearly aware of it, it's best for him to move on? I can't imagine him getting the worship he would have received from us all if he'd not took this route.

What gets me is he's come out and said 'im staying' then worked toward the opposite. If he'd have came out and stated that he'd acheived what he can with the club and he'd never too off the miraculous season we had and he wanted to leave, Id be sad but accepting.
