st albans fox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Vardy and his agent have stitched the club and therefore us supporters something rotten. I wish he would just get lost now so we can move on! I trust the management and owners to sign a replacement. As CR said at the end of season any who are not committed to our great club should go!! But you have no evidence that he isn't committed. He hasn't said anything publically. All his agent has done is try and get an offer from a club to aid their own negotiations on a new deal with us which would be happening anyway. All the talk of medicals etc hasn't come from JV. 'Jamie wants to go to arsenal'. Have you heard him say that? maybe he has but not in public. If it all falls apart and he ends up leading our line in August, he will have plenty of wiggle room to keep the fans onside.
Wymsey Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 We should send this 118-page 'dossier' to the club, to let the club know how we feel and do everything possible for him to stay.
Guest Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 It appears a very much more done deal than your transfer-lite scenario would suggest. I would also suggest that there's been more abuse levelled at one another on this thread than is ever going to shoot past Mrs.V's delicate ears. Football is a game of high passions and fierce loyalty and yet here you are castigating us for reacting to the some fairly unsettling news with the passion we bring to supporting City. Some of the comments are inappropriate but that's always going to be the case in these times. So what is your recommended implement of persuasion? Should we organise a coach fleet to take us all to Melton to entreat him to stay? Maybe that's a bit of direct action we could take. Whyever not? I'm not suggesting it won't go through - but the fact is that it hasn't, as of yet, so whatever point Vardy is in his decision making I doubt petulance or aggro is going to swing things in our favour. I was going to sign for Arsenal, but the twitter trolls convinced me I'd be much happier staying with them. And even if it was a done deal, it doesn't do us any benefit. We all know Vardy has the sort of competitive personality that thrives off negative reactions - we'd only be spurring him on to perform even better against us. The only argument in favour of such actions is "we're really passionate and really upset about this". Fine, somebody wants to vent, they can go and punch a wall, drown their sorrows and cry themselves to sleep. But for the sake of the club, have a bit of dignity and class. Pretty safe bet that's how Claudio will handle it. Can't say I have any specific, direct recommendations for positive persuasion (i'm no leader of lynch mobs or parades). But if anybody is using the lack of a good idea as an excuse for implementing a bad one, they're probably not the brightest of chaps as it is.
shade Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 regardless of what happens, it's no coincidence that the vast majority of posters properly slating him are either far from regular posters, or known clowns.
foxile5 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 We should send this 118-page 'dossier' to the club, to let the club know how we feel and do everything possible for him to stay. Hatred and idiocy? Yeah, that's a great idea.
Babylon Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 So basically all that talk about a medical being done today was a load of old bollocks?nobody reliable ever said it, just the billy bullshitters who want to look ITK
Buzzell Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 We should send this 118-page 'dossier' to the club, to let the club know how we feel and do everything possible for him to stay. Or maybe not after all them pages of slagging him off and calling him a cvnt
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Or maybe not after all them pages of slagging him off and calling him a cvnt Remove those of course
Buzzell Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 nobody reliable ever said it, just the billy bullshitters who want to look ITK Ahhh I hate the transfer window.
J.Lisemore Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Stinks of Ramos to United this does. Hope we don't cave in to the wages Arsenal are throwing around though.
Legend_in_blue Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The bottom line is if we want to continue to sustain our form at the top of the table, or thereabouts, it is going to take ridiculously large sums of money to do so. We can't have it both ways. The danger is the risk involved in doing so. It's gone wrong for us in the past and more recently Leeds went for it and it all went wrong there. The owners aren't daft though and ultimately they will do what is right for the club. If the counter offer isn't accepted, then greed aside, we move on.
EastAnglianFox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Remove those of course Not much point sending a 1 page dossier
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I would die for my wife I would die for my daughter I would die for Leicester City I would die for my country / job (sort of ) I am a loyal person Some people don't know the meaning of loyalty Let's see what happens
ARM1968 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Personally I'd take the £30 mil for a 29 year old and move on. Business is business.
The Guvnor Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Could all the posters who were derogatory towards Jamie or any member of his family please remove it from here toot suite and that will probably reduce this thread to 3 or 4 pages.
Babylon Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Personally I'd take the £30 mil for a 29 year old and move on. Business is business. We aren't getting £30m
Guest Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 nobody reliable ever said it, just the billy bullshitters who want to look ITK I thought Bert said it.
Vicki Vixen Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Anyone criticising Vardy needs to have a word with themselves after the huge contribution he has made to this club. If he wants to go to Arsenal then he goes to Arsenal, he will still be a legend here and someone City fans will talk about for years to come.
davieG Posted 5 June 2016 Author Posted 5 June 2016 West Ham believed they had clinched a deal to take Jamie Vardy to the club at around £105k a week before they were hit by new inflationary demands in negotiations. Arsenal are now big favourites to clinch a deal for the Leicester City striker on a deal whic is close to be around £120k a week. But ClaretandHugh can reveal the player looked to be on his way to the Olympic Stadium six weeks ago when we understand his advisors had agreed he would sign for around £90k a week plus £15k for every first team appearance . But when the two sides sat down to iron out the details they were told there was new interest and that a deal would cost them around £125k-£150k a week pus appearance fees. We believe that Liverpool had also been made aware of his availability but dropped their interest when they were quoted personal terms of £140k a week. Now the Gooners are close to agreeing a transfer fee of £20 million with City whilst offering the player £120k a week. A Hammers source told ClaretadHugh: “We thought we had a deal and it came as a surprise when the fee moved up so dramatically – there was a lot going on behind the scenes with other clubs!” http://www.claretandhugh.info/vardy-agrees-irons-deal-then-moves-on/
MattCan Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 We aren't getting £30m Must be £100k + / week by now for the counter-offer.
