st albans fox Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 IF the bookies think a decision is imminent I wouldn't be surprised if they take down their prices. People will know prior to the announcement and they are just asking to lose money with little to be gained
SpacedX Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 If Vardy stays his agent has played a blinder on his behalf. Managed to get a big club interested, which has forced us to offer him an improved contact and then by turning Arsenal down he will seen by some as a hero. The key was getting a club like Arsenal interested. I believe they were entertaining the idea of acquiring Vardy anyway and probably triggered the release clause irrespective of the agent. Certainly Wenger has outwardly expressed interest in Mahrez since we played them at the Emirates in February 2015.
peach0000 Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Aren't the England medical staff the Arsenal medical staff too? Could potential complete medical whilst with England if not already done. If it works like that. How the **** has that been allowed to happen, although on second thoughts at least their well practised. Also I believe medicals are done by an independent third party for insurance purposes.
Lcfc_1995 Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Doesn't it need to be decided today, as Hodgson doesn't want transfer rumours and speculation interfering whilst England are at the euros?
Simo86 Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 The face that you pull when you see ramadaone has posted
Legend fox Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Doesn't it need to be decided today, as Hodgson doesn't transfer rumours and speculation interfering whilst England are at the euros? Thought I read sorted today or Arsenal move on.
Innovindil Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Doesn't it need to be decided today, as Hodgson doesn't want transfer rumours and speculation interfering whilst England are at the euros? The real question is do you think Hodgedonkey has the power to stop people talking about multi million pound contracts just because he doesn't like it?
SpacedX Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Also I believe medicals are done by an independent third party for insurance purposes. Correct - his name is Dr. Mark Bonar.
Max Power Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 ramadaone is the daddy. Get's the people going with innocuous comments
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 I'm seeing more suggestions he's staying - 4 year deal, £120k a week.
Jace Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 FFS how many times, Roy Hodgson is in charge of England not football! Its not his decision to make!
NeilLCFC Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 I will always consider him a legend after last season but I find it hard to believe that this hasn't been a planned attempt to get more money out of the club. With this in mind, I'm gutted at him leaving, but in someways would prefer it. The idea of any player trying to extort the club doesn't sit well with me. I do think he deserves an increase in salary but believe it should be performance related, score x goals and get £x bonus etc
Tuna Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 No medical taken place according to this guy https://twitter.com/JamesOlley Evening standard football guy?
filbertstreet Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Doesn't it need to be decided today, as Hodgson doesn't want transfer rumours and speculation interfering whilst England are at the euros? he needs to know whether vardy's at some little midlands club or arsenal to decide whether to play him on the wing or up front
Tuna Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 I'm seeing more suggestions he's staying - 4 year deal, £120k a week. Probably got a 50p release clause!

It is not unusual on receipt of a job offer to go back to your present employer and say "make me an offer to stay". It is a risky strategy in most cases as you can never be completely sure how they will react.
MadKaw Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Another one.. ----- Sammy@sahpy4 I'm so confident that Jamie vardy will sign, if he doesn't I'll give everyone who favourites this tweet 20 pounds via PayPal! shen Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 I'm seeing more suggestions he's staying - 4 year deal, £120k a week. Brilliant agent work, if true. Not only that, but the owners publicly coming out and saying that we will struggle with FFP to increase wages that much means Arsenal have played us. They had nothing to lose and either they got a peaking striker on the cheap or they further reduced our spending power.
KFS Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Yes Rama! This is the guy that called Drinky's exclusion two weeks ago.
HankMarvin Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 FFS how many times, Roy Hodgson is in charge of England not football! Its not his decision to make! No, but I'm sure the FA have some say. Plus woy could means he wants only players focused 100 % on the euros, so Vardy runs the risk of being dropped if speculation continues and therefore disrupts his plans
polarbear Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Tbh this is how I feel. I don't know how he can walk back into that dressing room with his head held high having had his agent whore him out. If arsenal bidded and it wasn't instigated by vardy fair enough I'd be happy for him to go with best wishes. The way he's gone about it had left a bitter taste 4 years @ 120k p/w. I hope the owners and the medical team know what they're doing here.. We night be lumbered with an injured, off the pace aging greedy git I will always consider him a legend after last season but I find it hard to believe that this hasn't been a planned attempt to get more money out of the club. The owners will only pay him what he's worth, they're not stupid, they don't waste their money. Kramaric aside
