m4DD0gg Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 if he goes i just want to know who we will get 24 goals from next season . exactly
MC Prussian Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 if he goes i just want to know who we will get 24 goals from next season . Do we need to know (now)? We might as well get a suitable replacement in just in time or have other players step up to the plate. In the end, it's all purely hypothetical - I despair with some of you doom & gloom merchants.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If it boils down to wages and he actually wants to leave then, thanks for everything Jamie, but you've left a sour taste in my mouth. If he had any sense he would stay here.
eastendfox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Would be a good move for him. He's won a title now so the fact that Arsenal won't win one doesn't matter too much. He'll get a higher salary. And given Arsenal's injury record he probably won't play too much to pick up the money. On the other hand Arsenal also tried to get Suarez from his release clause and failed. They may not quite be the draw they think they are.
MPH Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I wouldn't be surprised if we are preparing a huge contract offer as we speak...
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Let him move if he wants it... short career and he should earn as much as he can. Things like Loyalty and playing for your home town club are all foreign concepts nowadays. Most of our players don't live anywhere even close to Leicester. If they want to go to bigger and better things, let it be... its our recruitment teams job to make sure we get adequate replacements. Southampton and Atletico Madrid have been selling their players but still seem to be doing ok. Maybe merson was right... when on national duty players will get tapped up by other players, either that or now that he's married he's being nagged to death to live somewhere closer to the glitz. If vardy goes, can see kante going too. Mahrez will probably stay.
Rincewind Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Ranieri is looking to add to the strikers not reduce them. But if someone is bought the rumours will start again. I am sure Vardy is level headed enough to know he is more assured of a place in the starting lineup here than at Arsenal. The only worrying thing is that in two or three years his value will go down. There is a big difference between 20 and 3 million. The owners do not need the money though so unless Vardy requests a move which I do not think he will they will be happy for him to stay and get value out of him whilst here. Now stop panicking all of you.

Schmeichel lives over in Cheshire for christs sake, and Pearson travelled down from Sheffield while he was here. Playing for Leicester doesn't mean you have to go live on the highfields estate...
le4foxforever Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Arsenal? are they having a giraffe? would that fee be £20m and a quid then? no a chance in hell he would move to those jokers.
new_york_paris_leicester Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If he goes like this, gonna get booed Brian little style when we play Arsenal next year and rightly so the little Chavy runt.
sphericalfox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I wouldn't be surprised if we are preparing a huge contract offer as we speak... yeah...for Musa...
jammie82uk Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 if he goes i just want to know who we will get 24 goals from next season . So Vardy is a guaranteed 24 goals next season then? If he goes he goes, we will change and adapt like we always seem to in recent times, let's not forget it was only around 12 months ago that people was saying " we were doomed" if we don't keep cambiasso, Pearson gets sacked "we are doomed" Claudio gets appointed "the end is nigh"
Jimothy Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If he goes like this, gonna get booed Brian little style when we play Arsenal next year and rightly so the little Chavy runt. IF he goes, and then you insult him. IF! Lay off the insults until he actually leaves.

jammie82uk Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If he goes like this, gonna get booed Brian little style when we play Arsenal next year and rightly so the little Chavy runt. Why? After all he has done for us, he certainly won't get any ill feelings from me
Lovejoy Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I wouldn't begrudge Vardy a move to an elite club, though obviously would rather he stay. But Arsenal!? They're not elite.
Bunyip Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 All the sources are saying his people have been approaching the top clubs looking for a move. Very disappointing If that's true he must have given them go ahead for them to do it . Shameful after all this club has done for him if he can't even give us one more season.
Birmingham fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Depends what he wants! He may double his salary there but I convinced he won't be a success there due to how arsenal play. I'm sure Walcott would get 20 goals playing as a striker in our team but he gets shunted out wide at arsenal because of there style of play. Whilst here everyone wants a piece of vardy, he must make shit loads in other work off the field endorsements, image rights etc cos he a top player and england international. Grass isn't greener on this one.
Babylon Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 exactly We'll have near enough £50m to buy a couple of strikers. One to replace Vardy, one to replace Shinji... So that's 29 goals in total. Split between two new strikers that's 14 & 15 goals each. Still a tough ask, but so would be replicating this season even with Vardy.

Schmeichel lives over in Cheshire for christs sake, and Pearson travelled down from Sheffield while he was here. Playing for Leicester doesn't mean you have to go live on the highfields estate... I never said it did... that was my point. Some People are reacting to this news as if we are still in the 50s where most of the team would be made up of local lads. Times have changed... even in relation to fans. Leicester will now have 'fans' despite 'supporting' other clubs just a few months ago. Regarding getting glitz and glamour, then playing for a big London club does a lot more for your image than little old Leicester. Remember the drinky and co not getting in at the london nightclub incident? Vardy in an arsenal shirt earns millions more just due to selling image rights and sponsorship deals. Its obvious his agent has been trying to offer to other clubs... the question is, has it come from vardy/missus because they want to move or is because he just wants an increase on his contract here. From the reports, it appears he will be gone and it's because he genuinely wants to move.

st albans fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If that's true he must have given them go ahead for them to do it . Shameful after all this club has done for him if he can't even give us one more season. One more season takes him to thirty He would be struggling to get a big deal at 30. It's his age that's the issue here. I know he hasn't had the rigours of pro football since he was 18 but he hasn't been sitting in an office either. He is trying to do the best for himself and his family. It's his job. He supports sheff wed. He loves us but it's not what courses through his veins like it does for you and me. let's see what the club does (if it is able to). Top already went public on the restrictions on annual wage bill rises.
