tom27111 Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Maybe he'll go, maybe he won't. I seem to recall doing alright against Swansea without him?
Jimothy Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 That is from March. It's still about the current contract he's on though.
tsintskaro Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Arsenal fans saying its Xhaka thing and i believe its true.when they "try" to buy Kante and in the end got Xhaka they are gonaa buy Morata
matty98 Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 It's bad enough we might lose him but we'd also be left with only 2 recognised strikers so other teams will take advantage and make us pay well over the odds to sign anyone.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Just heard the full story on SSN and its full of 'our sources are telling us', 'we believe'. I'm confident he will stay, arsenals style of play doesn't suit his game. He will be playing with his back to goal, involved in link up play which isn't his game!
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 If he wants to leave, let him leave.... our mistake as a club was to agree a contract with such a low release clause. In today's market he's worth at least £30m even at aged 29.
Leicesterpool Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 He'd look at out of place there, it's bit like when Rickie Lambert left for Liverpool from Southampton. The style of football just didn't suit Lambert. I can't see this happening to be honest, Vardy doesn't seem like he's in any hurry to leave yet. Plus lack of ambition at Arsenal.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If he goes, he goes. As others have said, this release clAuse was made public very soon after he signed his contract. It's one of two things, he wants more money or he actually wants a move. It's a shame really. These players gave there all and broke records. They're being rewarded by some very generous owners. If they doubt they'll be able to do it again, then it really is a shame. I'm concerned as Vardy is a key player. The unfortunate thing is, these so called Elite clubs maintain their status due to situations such as this. Same thing happened to Southampton. Building becomes impossible as your best players doubt their own sense of ability and decide to pack up and leave. If you do go, good luck Vards. Shame you may spend your later years thinking what if I stayed that extra year.
UPinCarolina Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Just ripped a sake shot for every goal Shinji scored this year. Come on you Blues!
Harry96 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Will be very interesting to see how this all pans out over the weekend
Countryfox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Rumour rumour rumour .... Get a grip you lot !!! And stop trying to ruin my fookin holiday !
ozvaldo Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 He's an underdog, playing for an underdog team in an underdog city. We'll give him an extra £30-£40k a week. He's going nowhere.
Birmingham fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Relax, why are most fckrs so paranoid on here! Just can't see vardy going anywhere. He is a key man here, a top wage player here, we have the best home atmosphere. Our team structure is based on him and perfect for way he plays. He plays every week. England squad regular now, best team spirit which he looks a huge part of. Yes Arsenal may come in for him but it don't mean he will want to go. Chill out for fcks sake!!!
TheLittleBigMan Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 There's more chance of us signing Fatima Whitbread than him going to Arsenal. Honestly.
foxy boxing Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Anyone got a sweepstake on who arsenal will try to sign from us next theirs been mahrez,Kante, chillwell and now vardy who next?
Callabinho Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 You've just got to put yourself in his shoes, huge club like Arsenal come in for a bid, 29 years old having played none league only a few years ago. A chance to play for one of the most established sides not only in England but Europe.....he's as good as gone in my opinion.
m4DD0gg Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 On one hand I would be gutted if he left especially to arsenal and for that price. On the other hand it does not surprise me. Everyone I have spoken to who has had any sort of personal dealing with Vardy has all said the same thing....vile caaant. There is no way he will be a star at arsenal he will be stuck on the left and when he struggles he will be ripped apart. Sure his extra few pieces of silver will make up for that.
fox_favourite Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Going to Arsenal maybe a mistake for him. If I was Vardy I would look at Arsenal's history of signing players and then their history of injury problems. Walcott, Ox, Wilshire, Ramsey, Cazorla to name but a few have had serious injuries since being at Arsenal and I don't see this as a coincidence. They're must be a something wrong with their training. I fairly sure a player (can't remember who) said he's never felt fitter after he left. We invest heavily in sports science and look after our players. Apart from poor Matty James, it has a proven track record so farr since our Championship days Of course I definitely don't want to see Vardy go, but I wouldn't want him to go to a club to either sit on the bench or to be part of a team with an awful injury record. Please stay Vards. Leicester loves you!!!!!
jaqo88 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It is clear that he has it perfect here at Leicester. The players suit him, the style suits him, the manager suits him. Not sure why he would want to go. In saying that he is 29, and this would be the last opportunity for him to play for a 'big club'. As much as it pains me to say that there's every chance he will go, and even if he doesn't have a great time there, he can always say he played for Arsenal. Really hope he doesn't go, but no one is bigger than the team, and if he wants to go then let him. He will forever be a legend here, even more so if he stays.

Marmite Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The same Sky Sources that said Pearson was sacked the first time
