HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Let me just google that for you........ not if Heskey had 2 simaese brothers that all got sold as part of his deal
ramboacdc Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Where's this number come from??? Mirror. Didn't bother posting it cuz I saw it late.
dylanlegend Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I'll be desperately, desperately sad if this happens... it feels entirely different than if Kante or Mahrez were to leave. I'd still be gutted if either of them went, but I'd accept it. It just felt like Vardy had so much more of a connection with this club and this city, given the journey both club and player have been through together... was that not real? He was like an adopted son of Leicester. For me, Jamie Vardy is the heart and soul of this team. He typifies everything good about us, the qualities that have led us to defy the odds and claim the Premier League title. At times it felt like he was driving us forward through sheer force of will. Kante and Mahrez are both phenomenal, and they will be extremely difficult to replace... but Vardy? It honestly feels like we'd be losing everything that makes this team what it is. For everyone saying "if he goes, he goes, we have to move on" - honestly, do you really feel this way? How can it be as simple as that? Yes, he is only one man, but he's one man who has meant so much to every single fan of this team. For me it would be like losing a limb. Maybe Musa, or Slimani, or someone else will come in and replace him, maybe they'll score 15 or 20 goals a season. But will it feel the same? Can it, really? I don't think so. We might have a new hero, but we'll never have another Jamie Vardy. People might accuse me of being melodramatic, or overly sentimental. But this is football. Football is drama and sentiment, football is heroes and villains, football is legends and stories that are told for time immemorial. Without any of that, football is nothing. I understand that this career is a short one, and when you've got a family to provide for, and an uncertain future to prepare for, you have to make decisions that you believe are the right ones for you, your family and your future. But it doesn't make it any easier to accept for us, the fans, the ones with romance in our hearts. Desperately, desperately sad. It is very sad, as you said Vardy drives us forward, any one of the 3 would be a massive loss though, I hope this is the first and last (this summer anyway). The thing about Vardy is he's a 20+ goal a season striker (in our team anyway) but he brings so much more to his game than that. Assists, closing down, pace, bringing others into play. How England think Kane is a better player to base their team around is beyond me- it should be Vardy! However,I do think he'll be poor at Arsenal unless they base the team around him- I can see him playing out wide like he does with England for them. Look at players like Bony, Benteke >> not the main men and therefore struggle as the team don't play to their strengths. To go from the team with less possession to a team with the most possession is a massive ask, more surprised with Wenger thinking he can fit in than Vardy leaving.
Great Boos Up Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 at 100 pages he will then decide what to do, so watch what you say.

kingfox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Hope he enjoys playing in front of a library atmosphere, where the only fan chanting his name will be a guy with an Arsenal water bottle and headphones.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Worst Saturday night ever I agree, actually been depressed all day about this... just want Monday to come so we know for sure. This is painful
whitlock Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Hope he enjoys playing in front of a library atmosphere, where the only fan chanting his name will be a guy with an Arsenal water bottle and headphones. It's not a career move, only financial. He doesn't care.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It's not a career move, only financial. He doesn't care. He certainly isn't going to be winning anymore at Arsenal than what he has here that is for sure
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Everyone might as well come back in a hour, Sunday story's will be published when the lazy journalist cnts do their work
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Have we signed Nicky Maynard yet? Still having his medical
Koke Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Anyone who seriously idolised this guy needs their heads checked. He racially abused a guy last summer and has shown on more than one occasion that he is a bit of a dick. He's been a phenomenal player for us and nothing can change that. But those that are getting in a twist over him being self-serving are being incredibly naive. We will survive. I would love him to stay. If he goes then he goes having played a key part in giving us something I never thought we would experience, he doesn't owe us anything after that. Football fans are willing to overlook bad things if their player is doing that business. We discarded the 3 lads for the Thai debacle and our manager even lost his job, but because they were shit it didn't matter. The club gave Vardy another chance because he was now an "England player". Though you could argue one offence was worse than the other. Great player for us but not the brightest lad you'll meet. Compare him to Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs and they are more intelligent than him.
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Have we signed Nicky Maynard yet? NO but according to your sig, schmeichel just signed for Notts County
foxfanazer Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Have we signed Nicky Maynard yet?Nah he sees us as a sidewards step at best
dylanlegend Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It's not a career move, only financial. He doesn't care. I will laugh when he's rotting in their reserves, no club will sign him cos he's on too much money with 3 years left on his contract and he's too old. And Musa has just scored the winning goal in the champions league final versus Barcelona.
Sniffer Clark Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Been talking to Arsenal fan tonight who lives in the same village as me,he's says that getting Vardy is not the big fish Wenger wants, his No1 fish is Mahrez

Guest LCFC_World Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Been talking to Arsenal fan tonight who lives in the same village as me,he's says that getting Vardy is not the big fish Wenger wants, his No1 fish is Mahrez This worries me because of those "Vahrez" boots.. But if they both go to Arsenal then fvuck em.
Carl the Llama Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If I have to listen to another person drag out the old 'it's a short career he has to provide for his family' line again. Don't put it down to 'wanting to provide' - it's pure greed. 80k a week, 320k a month, 3.84m a year. Even after tax, with a career spanning just 4 more years I think you'll find Jamie Vardy has quite enough money to 'provide' for his family for the rest of his life. Provide in a significantly more lavish way than I will ever, most likely, be able to provide for my family, even if I work until I'm 70 years old. I very much doubt that even at this stage his future finances will ever be in question again. Stop saying it, it's ****ing silly. He can always go and do a postal route with his lookalike if he falls on hard times / gets injured. Or get a career as Jamie Vardy: Postman lookalike.
