We have the backroom staff to do it. Walsh signing a 2yr contract was a massive signing!! If we need scouts to find a suitable replacement, we have the men to do it. Try to keep the faith.

I also don't like to hear his wife getting grief from "fans". Whatever you think of her, she is still a human being who, in this situation, hasn't done anything to deserve the abuse! Fans they are not!!!

Ive actually come to terms with it now. I'm annoyed we're only getting £20m but such is life. If we sign a striker the coming week then most Leicester fans will quickly move on from this.

That requires effort.

Where as the 40,000 extra a week at arsenal requires non and is the equivalent of renting 160 £1000 a month houses.

Different levels of loaded babs, no matter how much you've got there's always more to aim for.

The point was not where can you make the most money, I'll say it again... When set for life sone people prioritise happiness over money.

Anyway, it wouldn't take much effort as he'd just get someone to do it for him. That income would also last a lifetime and not just 4 years. There are many ways to make money when you have money.

Arsenal probably won't even play him, only buying him because Wenger is still all sour grapes about how little Leicester beat them to the title. It is the kind of sad thing that shit house whiny c*nt club would do.

Is it only me that thinks that if it really is the 30 mill that's being touted then I wouldn't be to upset, as has been mentioned we are now in the strongest position we have ever been to attract some serious players.

My mind has changed on this about 10 times today. Right now I'm feeling **** Vardy.

Leicester has been here since 1884 and will be forever. Always.

Vardy has been here since 2012. And will be long retired in 5 years, and might even start declining before that if his legs give way.

No player is bigger than the club and if he doesn't want to be here at the champions of England we'll find other players that do.

We move on, but we need to ensure this summer is a period of evolution not revolution! Can't let the squad fall apart!

It's just possible that the club are happy to let him go.

You're only the second person to mention this in this thread and I think this maybe the case.

If they can get the fee for Musa they may consider they're getting a younger Vardy for free

only one place said £30m, the rest of the planet say around £20m... I think we're giving that too much attention.

The thing that would bother me isn't the fact he's leaving, or that he said he was happy here, or that he's moving because Leicesters small, or we didn't reach his ambitions, what would really bother me, is that 50% of the arsenal fans don't want him, yet 100% of Leicester do.

Pretty much. They also lost two managers in Pochettino first then Koeman, and a host of players. And each season they still managed to rebuild their side and improve on the previous season. Both their scouting and our scouting are very good so I'm confident we will be fine.

It's different staying a top 10 team like Soton than playing in the champs league. I was looking forward to Mahrez / Vardy ripping up the champions league with us, I thought we would have a real chance, very slim chance now.

Which means we end up with £15m :(

Don't think Woy will be to pleased with all this distraction before the euros unless he wants him playing for a bigger club.

No charity shield for him then if he goes.

I just don't understand players that say they love the club and are happy there. Then turn and run as soon as the money comes in.

Me personally, I'd be happy being the first name on the team sheet and earning 80k a week

Whilst I accept this is football I just feel when Vardy first arrived and things were not going well and he was arriving for training 'drunk' the club supported him and helped him get to the position he is in today. With an improved contract i still think he owes us at least one more year. If he does go to I also think he will struggle to replicate his form for us AFC just don't play the type of football that will benefit his style. I certainly feel betrayed and let down as  i was foolish enough to believe him when he stated he had no intention to leave. I am a little ashamed to say that I hope his decision to leave is a disaster for him!

pretty pointless being in that good position when the players already here want to leave. not sure why we'd be confident of signing any "serious" players when the ones we already have don't even want to stay if someone else offers them more money.

It's quite possible, all his talk of not going anywhere, Leicester match my ambitions, I'm not motivated by money just makes you wonder if the club are happy to replace him. It could be for any number of reasons from him not fitting in to where they see us going, a falling out, like you say a target they consider to be better. Probably completely wrong but a possibility.

What bothers me is that this is completely Vardy and his advisors doing, make no mistake, this is about raising Vardys profile he thinks he's bigger than the club (that's why his people have offered him around like a rag doll). Hope he fails miserably at the gunners

IF Vardy does go, the sickener for me is that even though we associate many many footballers with being Money Grabbing tossers, Leicester City plucked Vard's from obscurity and gave him the lifeline he needed, now he's apparently prepared to turn around and stick the V up at us for the chance to sit on the bench at whiny Arsenal and watch his pound notes role in. Could end what I thought would be eternal hero status for me.

Figures are over a 4 year contract period, he will earn £24 million rather than £16 million at Leicester.

You don't have to be a genius to understand that it's greed. How much do they really need? Once upon a time footballers would argue it's a short career and they needed to earn enough for the whole of there life but come on!

Kante and Mahrez will be next guaranteed!

To be realistic, most of us thought Mahrez will go and then Kante may go but to have Vards stolen first is just wrong.

Totally get your point Scouse, and I think unfortunately whenever we will go on to sign a serious, serious player we may not be hanging on to them for long.

I just think in this one situation our profile has never been higher and that sort of money for this club is ridiculous at his age.

Edit: But that is if it was to be the 28-30 mill. If it's around the 20 then skip everything I've said haha
