Gerard Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 What's his best position? 6foot is a bit short for a centre back Murillo & Dragovic who we've had £20m links with are both only 6ft. Perhaps the way to go is like Arsenal with Mertesacker. You have one superior ariel centre half when your up against the likes of Carroll and two or three more mobile centre halves as most forwards aren't beasts in the air nowadays.

I think Simeone called him one of the best central defenders his team faced? So must be pretty good. I expect he's come to challenge for a starting place, not just be content with rotating because of extra fixtures.

I know the disparity between Barca / Real and the rest of the league is obscene but I think Gijon are properly strapped and do well to stay up. Could be me talking guff as per, though!
