The Blur Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 From what I can gather there are 4 current Leicester players at the Euros: Vardy Kante Fuchs King 4 Former players: Kramaric McAuley Norwood Fernandes 1 Former Manager: MON Have I missed any? Oliver Norwood never played for us?
Jimothy Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 Think you're confusing Oliver Norwood with Oliver Norburn. Captain.
Captain... Posted 1 June 2016 Author Posted 1 June 2016 Oliver Norwood never played for us? He never played a game for us, but was on our books Edit: No he wasn't that was Oliver Norburn
Captain... Posted 1 June 2016 Author Posted 1 June 2016 Harry Kane used to play for us on loan I was thinking of all of our loans and completely forgot that one.
Kendal Fox Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 Thrilled for the 4 that are playing, gutted for Danny. Still, it'll make for enthralling viewing for all us City fans as we've got 4 countries repping the Foxes!
Captain... Posted 1 June 2016 Author Posted 1 June 2016 Is Inler not going? Nope, his lack of game time cost him a place in the squad.
Danno Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 Van Aanholt and Bruma for the Netherlands? Not sure if they are in the squad 100% though.
Poznan34 Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 Van Aanholt and Bruma for the Netherlands? Not sure if they are in the squad 100% though. The Dutch didn't qualify.
Captain... Posted 1 June 2016 Author Posted 1 June 2016 Ricardo and Moreno (played few games with LCFC) with Portugal? They were both shit, Ricardo was retired by then and Moreno was awful, I did have a look to see if Miguel Vitor had been playing for Portugal, but it seems not.
TeamRocket Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 Nope, his lack of game time cost him a place in the squad. would have gone if he played for England haha Nope, his lack of game time cost him a place in the squad. would have gone if he played for England haha
The Horse's Mouth Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 I'd imagine if Vitor wasn't playing in greece he'd have probably broken in by now, they're still having to call up Carvalho fgs
Captain... Posted 1 June 2016 Author Posted 1 June 2016 I'd imagine if Vitor wasn't playing in greece he'd have probably broken in by now, they're still having to call up Carvalho fgs I thought you must have seen William Carvalho's name and made a mistake, but you're right, old man Carvalho (38) is in the Portugal squad, Rui Costa and Fernando Couto are apparently on the stand by list...
TiffToff88 Posted 2 June 2016 Posted 2 June 2016 Nope, his lack of game time cost him a place in the squad. Imagine if the England squad selection worked like that too!
Sir Shep Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 We must be the first team at this tournament who've won a league and yet only have 4 players attending, 2 of which can't even get on the pitch!
Stadt Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Gelson Fernandes is in the Switzerland squad already been posted
Aus Fox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 How many other league champions in Europe are stretching to make connections to players who were once on loan for a couple of months. Could you imagine the Juventus forum having a thread which linked an Albanian reserve centre back who played a handful of games on loan when the were in Seria B
ScouseFox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 has a major league (english, german, french, spanish or italian) ever had less representatives on a whole at a major tournament? by the end of round one of matches we'll have had a max of two players playing? that is pretty impressive considering how far we won the league by.
Aus Fox Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 has a major league (english, german, french, spanish or italian) ever had less representatives on a whole at a major tournament? by the end of round one of matches we'll have had a max of two players playing? that is pretty impressive considering how far we won the league by. Forget Major European leagues, barring Wales, Northern Ireland and Rep Of Ireland is the a nation who have qualified for the euros who have less of their national champions players represented.
MC Prussian Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Maybe one can find a few more Leicester connections when one looks at the staff of all participating nations. Just a hunch.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Kramaric now played more minutes than Vardy Probably had more touches than Kane too
