Portugal Sporting lost the second of its stars. The extreme Islam Slimani signed with Leicester. transfers don't happen overnight, Chelsea and City get who they want by paying completely over the odds very quickly (aside from Kante!)

As a club we can't do that just yet because we don't have the finances coming in compared to those big clubs, so it wouldn't be sustainable. As for empty handed, we've picked up Musa Hernandez Zieler Mendy Kaputska and I think strengthening the squad like so will only prove its worth over time. Yes I hope we sign a few players to really really improve our first Xl but were Leicester, you can't expect the owners to go out and spend hundreds of millions of players after one good season

No I definitely didn't ignore the rest of your post, I just shortened it to highlight the part of it I was responding to. I get that we can't spend hundreds of millions just yet but I see clubs way below us signing players for 30 million quid, it's only natural as a supporter to question why we can't or won't do the same, especially considering the season we are about to embark on. I personally think the club are being too cautious with transfer fees. Take N'Zonzi for example, he has a 25 million release clause apparently and in this market he would be worth it so why bid less when we know it won't get accepted.
