SheppyFox Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 We can't have wanted him much in truth if WBA get him instead of us.

Portugal Sporting lost the second of its stars. The extreme Islam Slimani signed with Leicester. The agreement between the two clubs is 30 million, five more than the amount offered by the West Bromwich Albion . The player was aware that if he bid for that amount, he would be allowed to leave Portugal. The Portuguese team is in the group of Champions Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund with Legia Warsaw . The Portuguese let out one of his important after the departure of Joao Inter Mário men. Slimani , 28 , has scored 29 goals in the 43 games he played in the 2015/16 season with Sporting Portugal.

Nice. transfers don't happen overnight, Chelsea and City get who they want by paying completely over the odds very quickly (aside from Kante!) As a club we can't do that just yet because we don't have the finances coming in compared to those big clubs, so it wouldn't be sustainable. As for empty handed, we've picked up Musa Hernandez Zieler Mendy Kaputska and I think strengthening the squad like so will only prove its worth over time. Yes I hope we sign a few players to really really improve our first Xl but were Leicester, you can't expect the owners to go out and spend hundreds of millions of players after one good season No I definitely didn't ignore the rest of your post, I just shortened it to highlight the part of it I was responding to. I get that we can't spend hundreds of millions just yet but I see clubs way below us signing players for 30 million quid, it's only natural as a supporter to question why we can't or won't do the same, especially considering the season we are about to embark on. I personally think the club are being too cautious with transfer fees. Take N'Zonzi for example, he has a 25 million release clause apparently and in this market he would be worth it so why bid less when we know it won't get accepted.
Old Fox Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 Top drawer if true we just need Camacho and we are well set.........

Vindaloo FOX Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 Slimani to LCFC and Ulloa to WBA . could see this happening .
FoxinNotts Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 Could see this happening, but not until after the Sporting-Porto clash tomorrow. His 'farewell' match me thinks.

st albans fox Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 If they have agreed to sell him to someone for 30 mill euros, surely he won't play tomorrow (yes I know it's a big game)
