Payet played ok, not MOTM though. The match was spent praising Kante, and Pogba, but the moment Payet scores they manage to remember all this previously unmentioned special moments

Then upped his game considerably in second half. Everything was going through him when France attacked. He was creating where possible and Romania could stick as many players on him as they wanted but he still found a way out or found another French player to keep attacking.
Koke Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 True. But to be fair Payet had been playing top tier football his whole career (unlike Vardy) but now he's a guaranteed starter for the French NT. I guess he got a lot better as he matured.
