Guest CityFan 06 Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Here's candidates that make my list: It's actually quite tricky of who to think of, because of how good we were home & away. Wijnaldum - Newcastle Bolasie - Palace Sanchez - Arsenal Gardner - West Brom Koscielny - Arsenal Foster - West Brom Mertesacker - Arsenal Carrick - Man Utd Walcott - Arsenal Watson - Watford Walker - Spurs Van Dijke - Southampton Cresswell - West Ham
Illusion35 Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 I thought Sanchez was really good when we played Arsenal. Really stood out.
LCFC FOX Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Sanchez 100% the best player to play against us this season. Tore us apart at the KP. Smalling stood out for me, looks like he's going to be a class CB with the right partner
AKCJ Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Ighalo and Rondon both dominated our defenders in terms of physical presence.
ScouseFox Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 i had no idea wijnaldum even played against us in either game this season until right now
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Yeah, Smalling I meant to add to my list actually, he was excellent as I recall given he was up against the quality of Vards. Ighalo also impressive.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Thought Harry Arter looked good until Bournemouth had a man sent off
Cheese Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 I thought Walcott was quite good but I can't really remember.
foxes21 Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 I thought Sanchez was really good when we played Arsenal. Really stood out. we made him look good though, thanks to de laet & schlupp at fullback. we even made walcott look like messi that game.
Smudge Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 I was very impressed with Hazard in that game against Spurs
ramadaone Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Smalling by some way for me Only Vardy chance was when Smalling went up for a corner
Wolfox Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Rondon... That bloke is a unit... I've never seen Morgan held off in a physical contest before and he did the same to Huth when he scored... Sanchez and Wlacott at (our) home were tidy...
jock2612 Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 I thought Sanchez was really good when we played Arsenal. Really stood out. Agree !
weller54 Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Every single Spurs player in the 1-1 draw!! Just a beautiful footballing side and clearly the best side in the PL by a country mile!.. Fully understand why 5 of them are in the England team.... ........ To be continued..
kushiro Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Amazing how few opposition players stood out. One who did was Charlie Daniels who had a great first half at their place before his injury.
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Not many impressed me as much as I expected to be honest. Sanchez obviously springs to mind.
BoyJones Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Nobody. I never look at the opposition players, seriously can't remember one decent performance from anybody.
CollinsLCFC Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Nobody. I never look at the opposition players, seriously can't remember one decent performance from anybody. Take it you wasn't there for the Arsenal match?
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Every single Spurs player in the 1-1 draw!! Just a beautiful footballing side and clearly the best side in the PL by a country mile!.. Fully understand why 5 of them are in the England team.... ........ To be continued.. Ffs. I can't believe nobody has had a bite at you for this - even if it is 'tongue in cheek'. Walcott and Sanchez I agree with, also Willian (might have been the season before with him when we were beaten 3-1 though?)
Babylon Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Bolasie was dire, palace were dire. Mertersaker got ripped a new one by Vardy. Some strange names on that list. Very few stood out compared to previous premier league seasons. Whether that's down to us being much better, or that quality not being what it was... Probably a mix of both. Ighalo and Rondon stood out as they bullied our defence at times and that doesn't happen often. Sanchez hatrick obviously... The rest barely registered.
