Sharpe's Fox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 not as bad as putting the milk in before the water surely? By Sithis people actually do this?!? These sub-humans need to hunted down and systematically wiped out of all existence.
ousefox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Twinings Earl Grey. Have about 3 a day. I never used to drink tea at all and only started when it gave me a revision break a few years ago. Yorkshire Gold is the nicest otherwise.
baylisslcfc Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Twinings English Breakfast first thing, Yorkshire Tea (loose, preferably) throughout the day, and maybe an Twinings Earl Grey (no milk of course) not too long before bed. You have to allow tea to brew for at least five minutes. Boil water. Pour over bag. Leave to brew for a five minutes. A few stirs, don't squeeze the bag... Remove bag. Add milk. Another few stirs. Voilà! Loose tea is of course preferable, it does taste far better. Not that I'm particular with how I like my tea.
Samilktray Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Weak/milky tea is amongst the worst things on earth. I like the orange twinings myself but like Una I prefer a cwoffee
StanSP Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 By Sithis people actually do this?!? These sub-humans need to hunted down and systematically wiped out of all existence. yeah I saw someone at work do it. Whenever she asks if I want a drink I always say no to her . Then leave enough time to make my own so it doesn't look awkward
Jaspa Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Usually Yorkshah Tea, if not Sainsburys Red Label will do Teabag and sugar in Boiling water in Stir around abit Leave to brew for two Strain bag on side of mug once Put honey in here if you prefer to sugar Milk
Sharpe's Fox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 yeah I saw someone at work do it. Whenever she asks if I want a drink I always say no to her . Then leave enough time to make my own so it doesn't look awkward There was this guy at my old job who only drank black coffee and whenever he asked if I wanted a tea I refused. The one time I did what was given to me was an abomination, like someone had dipped a teabag in a mug of piss then added a carton of double cream. It reminded me of what you squeeze out of an infected wound. Seriously Mark if you're reading this, learn how to make a proper cuppa you hipster greb ****.
ousefox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 I must be the only guy who doesn't have a tea routine too. I swear I do it in a random order every time in whatever seems the most convenient way.
Webbo Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 I was in someone's house years ago when they offered me a cup of tea. The house was filthy so I said no but he insisted. I don't have sugar but half way down I started to taste sugar, I drank a bit more and I could taste coffee. The dirty bastard hadn't washed out the cup from the last person who'd used it.
RatbyBlue Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Yorkshire - hard water bags Bag in mug pour in water just after the boil 30 stirs clockwise 5 anti clockwise A light squeeze on the side of the mug to remove the bag (like you were retrieving an injured chick with a teaspoon) A dash of milk Serve with a chocolate twist from the coop
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Yorkshire is my personal fave. Like English breakfast tea too
Guest Manini Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Coffee, Nescafé. About 6 cups a day at work. No rest for the wicked chaps. I have a pot of tea on a Sunday morning because my grandad used to do that. I don't even like tea it's just habit now. Twinings salted caramel green tea is deece too.
ScouseFox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 yeah coffee is better. and either has to be super strong otherwise what's the point man
SystonFox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Yorkshire tea, but I'm not that fussed to be honest, there isn't much difference between most teas. I have Earl Grey when I'm out. Tea bag in the water, no milk, no sugar. What about when you go out out? I'm a PG tips pyramid man myself
Kinowe Soorie Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 I had to knock tea on the head as it was giving me headaches? But anyone that puts milk in before taking the tea bag out, is just a wrong un!
Strokes Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 I was in someone's house years ago when they offered me a cup of tea. The house was filthy so I said no but he insisted. I don't have sugar but half way down I started to taste sugar, I drank a bit more and I could taste coffee. The dirty bastard hadn't washed out the cup from the last person who'd used it. Oh my god, that is literally my worst nightmare. If I work round someone's house, I have my flask thanks.
Thommo Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Normally PG Tips.. but 1 day last week arrived at work, went to mash my first cuppa, opened my sandwich box....no teabags...DISASTER!! So nipped out to a shop in new parks and bought a big box of typhoo (thought bargain) for £1 . Back at work and made my cuppa took a sip and spat it out...thought the milk was on the turn... borrowed a splash of someone elses milk but it tasted the same... Does anyone else think that Typhoo tastes like piss???
Danno Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 I learned how to make proper vietnamese iced coffee and it's changed my life.
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Cannot stand milky tea or coffee. They ARE NOT how such beverages should be! Sod 'latte' and whatavya. Tea should taste like tea and coffee be strong and aromatic. I'm a coffee man in the mornings, and a tea man in the afternoons. Always have been. I was in someone's house years ago when they offered me a cup of tea. The house was filthy so I said no but he insisted. I don't have sugar but half way down I started to taste sugar, I drank a bit more and I could taste coffee. The dirty bastard hadn't washed out the cup from the last person who'd used it. Oh my God!
GaelicFox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Lyons tea Us paddies built the M1 in a week sucking them bad boys Much better than Barry's tea which is a cheap ass Irish brew
Izzy Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 This isn't an issue as long as you've given the tea enough time to brew, the issue is putting the milk in right as you put the bag in because then the water isn't the right temperature to brew the tea. Boil water Wait for water to stop bubbling Then pour over tea bag Leave to brew 3-5 minutes without ****ing touching it Remove tea bag - don't squeeze it like a heathen Milk/sugar/lemon to taste And Yorkshire tea is the only tea. EXACTLY this...
Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Whichever of the decent brands is currently doing an offer. There's usually one and I'm not too fussed so long as it's a decent cuppa, but won't get the supermarket cheapo stuff.
