The Railway Man Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 I'm going into hysterics if we seriously get an 8 figure fee for this bloke

Have you even watched his football from when he was in France? did you see him when he started playing for us or are you too young? Gray is better now than when Mahrez came to us - Knocky was better than Mahrez when he first came. Don't know how you can say that the first time Mahrez stepped on the pitch you could see right away that he was a different class to Knocky.

Which is why we've broken our record signing twice this off-season and brought in an untried polish league player for £7.5m. Perhaps update yourself to 2016/17. We're not taking punts on players to fight relegation/play in the championship, we're buying players to contend for the Prem and play in the CL completely different circumstances. The hate is strong in this one. So you failed to answer the point completely. Not a surprise when you have no argument. Ha ha it seems you have lots of arguments going on Billy

matty98 Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Can't believe we'd let him go, not only is he a great player, off the pitch he's clearly a favourite with the rest of the squad, he didn't win players' player the season before last and young player twice in a row for nothing.
baldeagle Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Let's face it Jeff has two things as a footballer and two things only . And that's pace and strength. Don't get me wrong I like him but there are a lot better players out there
EastAnglianFox Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Will tear Simpson a new one if he comes up against him this season! Massive impact player for us but can understand if he wants game time week in week out.

dylanlegend Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Schlupp is different to our wingers due to his power- be a mistake if we let home go Former teammate Andrej Kramaric once stated that "I've never played with a more powerful player than Jeffrey Schlupp, such power and speed like I've never seen before
whoareyaaa Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Think it would be good to keep him for at least one more season especially with all the games coming up, if he is happy to play that role that is. theres nothing more I love when we are in need of some attacking threat and mr unpredictable comes on, causes defences and himself chaos. for the price offered it is worth thinking about however if we don't need the money and are not bringing in a replacement I'd say keep.
dannythefox Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Told he can leave IF the right offer comes in, it doesn't say it's been accepted!

No he won it because his main rival for the honour had only started 3 matches.

MarriedaLeicesterGirl Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 It would leave us with a 22-man squad for our first PL season. I think the "right offer" has to be at least £15. Of course, this is coming from "sources close to the player". Those guys had Mahrez being split in half and going to both Chelsea and Arsenal on Monday.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Forget the fee, it's not relevant. We need players life Jeff, Kingy, Leo going into this season. We can't rely on JV and Mahrez et all to perform for 38 League games, plus cup runs and Europe. We need a deep squad more than we have ever done in our history, we'd be mental to sell IMO.

GazzinderFox Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 I think people are forgetting that he's still only a young lad. You would think that his decision making is only going to get better over the next few seasons, that allied to his physical attributes means we would be pretty silly to let him go this season. You're 1-0 down to west Brom with 10 minutes to go, who better to bring off the bench and allow him to play unpredictably for the remainder of the game? I think he's a superb impact player. Just don't play him at left back...

Guest Col city fan Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Letting Schlupp go would be daft imo. He's gonna get better and better.
