I wouldnt be surprised  if nearly every one of our playerst has an accountant that knows how to pay the least amount of tax

They'll all have their own companies and it will all flow through them to avoid a lot of it. Jeff Schlupp Ltd etc.

Come on guys this is basic marketing. They're even all in the blue colour for gods sake!

It's obvious (like with the Krispy Kreme donuts) the club haven't paid for them. It's purely a marketing stunt to get BMW's name out their to the public eye. 19 of these cars is peanuts to BMW. The revenue gained from generated interest in the future is most likely more valuable to them than 19 i8's.

I'd wager the club have paid for them, but I'm sure they got a very nice discount.

Players may have beaut cars already, so i can see alot of WAGS driving around in these...

They collect cars like we collect stolen pint glasses from the pub, they'll get used.

Quite possibly. They know whatever the outcome it'll still generated media outlets stating the owners have paid for them all. It's exactly what the marketing stunt is meant to do.

Nice gesture from the owners, who cares?

Money in football is mental now, £100K present for the players that made history and won the Premier League. Money can't buy enough gifts for what those set of players gave the club and fans last season.

Definitely more to this than meets the eye.

Maybe this will convince Riyad to stay?

Pretty sure some Buddhist monks will of peed in the  petrol tank to cleanse the cars or something...

We'll see what comes out of the club, personally I can't see them advertising it as they'll know many people will moan (see this thread). With the beer and donuts it's more of a taster for people, get people to taste the product... if 2% come back regularly for more, then you'll make your money back and more. Anyway... doesn't matter either way!

Sure a few of the players prob have better cars than that already. Nice gesture but a pretty wasteful and unnecessary one.

might be a way of "giving" but less tax ?

Edit: note to self...read pages 2 + 3 before replying Doh

In that case then, all large retailers should stop marketing altogether. I forgot that's how it works...

Seem to remember Franny Lee giving all the man city players a Ford Puma for staying back in the 90's

things have moved quickly lol

on a serious point I can't wait till one of these gets auctioned or advertised  at some stage be a nice one to have

Christ. Some people love to complain....

Why shouldn't they get a car? Who cares if they already have a nicer one? It's up to them what they do.

They do enough for us regularly and some of you are moaning that they should of used this cash on the fans? Stop being such entitled tits. You sound like arsenal fans. Nobody wants that....

Is there a 'Jeff Schlupp Ltd' and if so does one section of the company know what the other is doing? Team meetings must be confusing?

But then everyone on here will moan about it being disrespectful to the club/owners for selling it on, or moan that they're selling it for too much, and should be given away for free to a fan...Or some other crap. You know how it works on here lol

It's their money, they can do what they want.

Sure - the players wouldn't have to save any money to buy these, but as far as astronomical football wages go, if any sportsmen deserve this kind of reward it's them.

Apparently when you are a successful businessman you're not allowed to choose who you give money/ gifts to....
