How do you gift a lease , would have them moaning having to give the car back ? maybe your right but I'm told the liability to the club is 110k per unit with all tax obligations met
Fox seen in Norwich Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Now I realise why Kante left. His phobia of cars

Say the price per car is £110k inclusive, someone will have to pay income tax on these cars since it's a benefit in kind to an employee. Either the players pay which seems unlikely seeing as it's a gift or the club pays the tax, which when accumulated is £90,000 on top of the price of the car.
ronnup Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Probably company cars. Probably at a good rate as this is excellent publicity for BMW.

Not a bad discount.

Because giving a gift to an employee is probably a tax write off, whilst giving gifts to random fans probably isnt... The owners have done it to reward the players for CL football and winning the title. Our bonus system only paid out for a 10th place finish or below.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Can't believe some people are moaning about this, what our players achieved last season was out of this world and there was no bonus agreed for winning the league beforehand as it was unimaginable. Also, it's just another thing that might make certain players realise how great the club is and help keep them here

I've been around here long enough to see people moaning about getting free beer.

Just perfect for the headline "Clueless" or "Little Boys Lost". Mind you, if we win convincingly they could have Ranieri standing in front of the cars, driver's doors wide open and waving an ignition set saying:- "Key-p It Up Lads!".
Clever Fox Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Any chance that they raffle off their old Cars amongst the Fans or even for Charity.

promised land Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Anyone who thinks the club paid full price for these is crackers. They used to have an I8 sat next to the big staircase entrance to the main stand every game, Synter work or did work with the club. They would've bought these for a price per car no one on here could get near, still a brilliant gesture from the owners. Just hope they all have a 'City champions' badge stuck in the centre of the rear window and an air freshener hanging from the mirror.
Wymsey Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Sytner sponsor the club loads and asked the club about this proposal.
Old Fox Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Only my opinion but I think this is fantastic all round. To put this into context if your boss paid you a non contracted 10% bonus for helping make your business top of its national sector then you would be over the moon. Presuming an average of £1.5m per year salary that this is the level of the bonus that the owners have bought our history makers!! I for one would be absolutely delighted as we all would if employers did this to successful team members and I do not think anyone could argue that the team earned this!!!
GaelicFox Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 All This car talk lads ! lets all try help this terrible car story have a happy ending just a couple of quid will help ! They aren't after a BMW ! biggs Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 We the fans have the title to brag about and to enjoy forever. As fans it's tough asking for more than that knowing full well the FA wants big named clubs in Europe and the so called big clubs have a monopoly on the title. So much money involved and we the fans will have our prize forever. The added money is there and good to see some of it passed down from the owners to the players. They could have kept it all for themselves.
Unabomber Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 The only thing I'm disgusted at is that they don't have personalised plates
