Empty seats in the west stand

Recommended Posts

Personal opinion - looked like they were block booked corporate tickets as they were all in a massive group of empty seats.

Disappointing for those that couldn't get tickets.

i was in corporate today and there were a few empty tables, there were about 3 rows of empty seats behind me

Earlier in the week the only tickets available were in the block Swansea didn't sell, next to L1.

I had a look yesterday and there were two yellow blocks for the West Stand, plus a few elsewhere.

I don't know if they were trying to sell them as hospitality packages and just gave up and tried to offload them as ticket only deals.

I genuinely thought it was just people getting battered by the rain that had gone to watch it in the concourse. Felt a bit ill.

I think you may well find its the corporate devil's the club has signed up with  Offering 'daytrippers' matchday / hotel packages for extortionate money.

Sad part of our success i'm afraid

Wtf how and why do they have champions league tickets! That's ridiculous.

There were a lot of empty seats in the east stand as well. Just round from the ufs boys.

Swansea at home with cl fixtures round the corner is obviously not an attractive proposition.

Or it puts to bed we need a bigger ground argument.

I know Swansea aren't a big club but taking 900 fans to an away Premier League game is a bit embarrassing.

Yeah, can't believe it was that high. Plenty of empty seats even before the rain, the Swansea section including segregation must've had 2k seats that weren't even half full.

To be fair to Swansea,  given its relative poverty and with the main steel works under threat, plus  bank holiday weekend it's not that much of a surprise. There may be a few teams bringing relatively smaller fan numbers this season, Burnley , Hull, Watford, Bournemouth come to mind

I was in the NW corner and certainly people were moving to avoid the rain. Looked like the first 7-8 rows were getting it. I was in row M and got a few sprinkles when the wind swirled.

Swansea must have asked for full allocation and then returned unsold seats, which lost looked a lot. Surely the must be a way to sell those seats to our own fans that can't get a ticket.

Did the West stand actually get rained on that high up?

Yep. I was sat in Row DD (block C2) yesterday and felt a bit of rain as the wind swept it in. Obviously those lower down would have got it much worse but DD is virtually at the top of the stand.

Bloody hell. I was on Row DD in the opposite stand. Didn't realise it was so windy.
