At what point?

Ok, so I'll be the one to ask it seeing as it needs saying... at what point do we stop singing about last season every 5 minutes?

I've been to every match this season and, at times (points during the Hull defeat and today), it's been a bit embarassing when we've been clearly inferior on the pitch but singing about last season.

I'll bang on about Leicester winning the league until the day I die but at what point do we accept that this self-righteous and arrogant gloating stance ("Champions of England you'll never sing that" and "have you ever seen Gerrard win the league?") that a large proportion of our fan base seem to want to adopt just isn't going to get us anywhere? We'll never back it up - we're a different side without Kante.

What got us where we got was an acceptance of what we were; technically inferior but a collection of people giving it everything they had for the team. Our chants and the attitude of our fan base seem somewhat at odds with that currently. I don't want our players to believe that they're so good that they have an entitlement to anything but if we tell them that enough then who could blame them for believing exactly that?

"Champions of England you'll never sing that" to a side that's won it 18 times lol

Embarrasing. But some of our songs are just that. Don't get me started on "Your City is blue", good grief.

Hearing really bad things about our end, it's a really weird one. Can someone please explain to my why you would sing in the concourse and not in the stand? Genuinely, I can't get my head around it at all.

When does it stop? End of the season. We aren't a bunch that sings about the great moments really, are we? Do you ever hear anything about Claridge's winners at Wembley or Hillsborough? Elliott v Tranmere?

I agree that the city is blue is pretty crap but we shouldn't embarrassed to sing about being champions when we still are. We've had enough "won fvck all" chants in our direction in the past.

I thought Manure away last year was same story , electric on concourse and average in the stand (till we got toward end)

i would have expected today to have been bouncing ....extra drinking time etc.....

We can sing it until somebody else wins it and I don't care if we're bottom of the league at the time.

Until the final whistle of the last game of this season. We'll probably never have the opportunity to be 'reigning champions' ever again, so we should milk it for all it's worth. Of course we were never going to live up to last season and no-one expected us to, so even more reason to celebrate our title when we're getting our arse kicked this seasonlol

As I turned around to get something going during YNWA, I saw half the stand recording and thought "fvck it". The only person giving it some welly today was on the front row, in a wheelchair.

We won the league ffs. Celebrate it.

Correct. This will probably be our one and only chance to celebrate winning the PL, so we should sing it loud and proud from the rooftops every single game this season - even if we're going down. If anything, I'd hope it would inspire the players to try and reach for those levels again..

Oh stop being so ****ing melodramatic because we had a bad day. Last season we shipped five at home to Arsenal about this point.

Leeds are still singing about NOT winning the European Cup before most of their fans were born, I think we've got some mileage on the most unexpected Premier League win of all time.

Jesus. I'll go to my grave singing about that one and won't feel an ounce of shame.

How long do we sing it?

As none of us will praps never sing it again.

Sing it loud n Proud till the title is won.

Leicester born Leicester bred Leicester proud.

If you cant see or handle it your not City Imo.

I know right? Anyone would think we are Liverpool fans, singing about the past and that! Joking aside, I agree last season needs to be put aside, we had the luck of five seasons crammed into one, and without taking anything away from our lads everyone else was lacking in comparison to where they'll likely be this year. I love this club but honestly I'm sick of hearing about the 5000-1 story too, even Forest did something good once, I'm a big believer in "you're as good as your last match".

perhaps the op thinks more sky and BT should take our colours off the trophy?

We may never see this again fvck it ride the wave as long as we can.

We were sensational last season... we beat everyone because we were better, this season one man, the main one that makes it all work has gone. That is a big difference, when the whole way you play actually relies on all the world class attributes he brought to the team. We will be mid table but struggle against the top teams without that .

Because you can gather together in the concourse but get split up and diluted in the stand. Shame that we haven't got an unwritten rule that you can stand where you want at aways. We are too compliant at this reserved seating thing.
