Defensively we look worryingly shit still!

2-0 up but if these was better could be a different story. We're looking good going forward though - Slim and Mahrez linking up already :riyad:

Same as last season really. Need to find a solution, again.

Good first half, but the biggest positive for me is that we look much better off the ball than we have done so far in the prem.

We were the best team in the league without the ball last year, we need to get back to that. Hernandez looks a little shaky at right back, but we are getting back into shape well, and defending fairly comfortably, the early chance aside. Their captain should have seen red, keep our heads and this is ours comfortably.

Pleased to see how much Amerty is trusted. He's being given a lot of ball. This lad will grow and come right for us.

Too early to make a call on Slimani, he's still fitting in.

Looks good but gotta say, Bruges are pretty average.

Cracking free kick from Mahrez though.

What a introduction to Europes elite football, currently top of our group at half time!!

Pros -

took our chances, Albrighton and DD been immense, Slim looking promising.

Cons -

defense, we really need to work on our game defensively... Reminds me of the start of last season.  We have been lucky not to concede.

Hopefully another goal and start resting a few players

Great performance so far, really impressed. for me, any pressure seemed to completely melt away after Mahrez's goal went in and I saw the team from last season reappearing.

Just wish the commentators would stop harping on about whether we'll cope playing more games.

Stood up all half ......singing our hearts out......unbelievable support so far....

All those criticising mahrez and Albrighton. ...should remember class shines through.....memories forever.....

Spurs are worrying me, they could end up losing us that fourth CL place...

It's probably that extra 5m on the Wembley pitch they was moaning about lol

Great team effort, but if Club Bruges were more talented and intelligent at attacking, they'd be a much more stern test for our partial makeshift back four (with Hernandez coping as RB).

Still, there's a beautiful simplicity and deadly efficiency about our style of play. Two passes, maybe three and were in the opposing box. Love it.

Hopefully we can control this match to the end now and not burn ourselves out for the weekend.

Managing these games energy wise is very important. We should just sit back and counter them whenever a good chance comes.

Think we're being a tad harsh on Brugge, they're not great but the likes of Albrighton, Amartey and Drinkwater have given them absolutely nothing to go on. Mahrez too actually and he seems really up for it. Slimani and Vardy harrying every single pass up front is meaning Brugge's only option is to lump it up front really which Huth and Morgan can deal with every day of the week.

This game has been played with that same energy and purpose we shown all last season, we are looking good so far. It would be a great way to bounce back after that Liverpool game

This might be a bit controversial, but I actually don't think there's a world of difference in performance from the Liverpool game, if you isolate our players. The intensity is the more or less the same, the mistakes and duels are pretty much the same and we've not created a lot. The opposition are just far worse!
