Webbo Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Who would you rather we played at right back when both are fit? I think Simpson is the better defender but Hernandez's throw is such a good weapon for us, is it worth starting him?
Buzzell Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Rather have Simpson. Still not convinced Hernandez is a full back.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Hernandez for weaker opposition in my view and Simpson against the strong teams, we will need to be more solid. Unless Hernandez can step up defensively a bit
Fox 4 Life Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Simpson all day. He is simply a much better defender. Fuchs has a long throw too, don't want us to turn in to Stoke and focus on that.
Strokes Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 He did very well tonight, he is still finding his feet in the prem, I'd stick with Danny for the time being.
Jimothy Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 I'm more convinced by Hernandez at full back than I am by him at centre back, but right now I'd stick with Simpson.
Spicer Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Hernandez is a centre back by trade and is just filling in. He looked a lot better when he played there as well.
StanSP Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Probably Simpson but it's a good selection headache to have as they say. Hernandez seems better with his ball at the feet but Simpson does very well covering and tucking in when the play is stretched and Huth/Morgan are exposed. Hernandez' throw-in is definitely going to be a vital weapon for us though.
Kitchandro Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Simpson....but we need a new right back.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 I'm leaning towards Hernandez now we have more height in the box with Slimani and Amarey rather than Okazaki and Kanté. But to be fair we need to see more.
SecretPro Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Hernandez makes a better RB than CB, but I'd rather have Simpson in, no doubt.
desertfox2 Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Still has to be Simpson but Hernandez looks to be settling in well.
lgfualol Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Thought Hernandez did ok today, similar to what I expect from Simpson plus the ability to pick a pass now and then.
Webbo Posted 14 September 2016 Author Posted 14 September 2016 I always thought Fuch's throw was good, but the distance and pace Hernandez gets on his throw is unreal. It's as good as Iceland's throw in against England.
Saxondale Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Hernandez. At least as good a defender and the best throw-in I've ever seen - even better than Fuchs'.
lcfcben76 Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Tbf even though he's a centre back Hernandez' crossing is pretty good and is decent going forward however Simpson is a better defender and would get my pick
StanSP Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 12 minutes ago, Mee-9 said: Janmaat. Oh wait he went Watford. you can't be seriously, surely? Janmaat is terrible.
Sionnach gorm Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 I think it is too early to make a judgement on this. Hernandez, I think, has more potential.
Bert Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Remember when Simpson was shit because of what he got up to in his personal life?
Max Power Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Hernandez needs to tighten up positionally but is a good passer and that throw is a huge asset. Good competition.
