Simpson v Hernandez.

Who would you rather we played at right back when both are fit? I think Simpson is the better defender but Hernandez's throw is such a good weapon for us, is it worth starting him?

Simpson all day. He is simply a much better defender. Fuchs has a long throw too, don't want us to turn in to Stoke and focus on that.

I'm more convinced by Hernandez at full back than I am by him at centre back, but right now I'd stick with Simpson.

Hernandez is a centre back by trade and is just filling in. He looked a lot better when he played there as well.

Probably Simpson but it's a good selection headache to have as they say.

 

Hernandez seems better with his ball at the feet but Simpson does very well covering and tucking in when the play is stretched and Huth/Morgan are exposed. Hernandez' throw-in is definitely going to be a vital weapon for us though.

I'm leaning towards Hernandez now we have more height in the box with Slimani and Amarey rather than Okazaki and Kanté. But to be fair we need to see more.

Hernandez makes a better RB than CB, but I'd rather have Simpson in, no doubt.

I always thought Fuch's throw was good, but the distance and pace Hernandez gets on his throw is unreal. It's as good as Iceland's throw in against England.

Tbf even though he's a centre back Hernandez' crossing is pretty good and is decent going forward however Simpson is a better defender and would get my pick

I think it is too early to make a judgement on this.  Hernandez, I think, has more potential.

Hernandez needs to tighten up positionally but is a good passer and that throw is a huge asset. Good competition.
