Burnley / Plymouth / Millwall at home in the 0000s. Always a thoroughly depressing, miserable game vs poor opposition with a bit more nous than us, always 0-1 to them. Thank god we've left those years behind.

The good old days when we were getting done by Peter Halmosi, Barry Hayles and Rory Fallon. God, I disliked Plymouth so much back then.

I remember one particularly awful game against Rotherham at home, they were bottom and had some atrocious record I think they'd either lost all their away matches or hadn't won all season and had about 9 points. This was around christmas time. Yep you guessed it, 0-1 to Rotherham.

What made it worse was having to suffer the misery of listening to Jon Barber commentate on it all!

I went to that - it was rancid.

I disliked them even more when we got their crap manager and striker!

Sean Dyche may actually be fond of LCFC.

From the BBC:

"I was certainly one lauding Leicester last season for the right reasons and will continue to do so.

"What the manager has done is terrific but what the club has done there is terrific, in my opinion. I've looked at it from the outside-in for a number of years and I think the owners have done fantastic there.

"I know some of the work they've done off the pitch, in the training ground etc, etc and they seem to have been building things for a long time. I think they've done it really, really well."

No moans about finance power. Wow, a first from him.

"... and they've spent a fortune in the market this summer." Sean Dyche, yesterday.

If quotes were paraphrased from his press conference yesterday, literally the the sentence before that second quote.

Is Mendy Mendyed yet? Will be very interesting to see line up, Slimani in or out, injured players available or not, Shinji involved or not, Kasper fit or not, confident in any of the individuals just wary about it gelling if we make too manychanges. If we do the things we do well we will have too much but it's Burnley, dogged, organised and Jammy, always capable of turning it into a dour scrap and nicking it 1-0 or making sure there's not much football. Hypocrite Dyche has now spent many many pound notes on players himself now, every team will have some dangermen, time to be professional, not panic and do our thing patiently and methodically. Or rip into them from the off.

I do believe Ranieri said in his pre match press conference, that Mendy needs another week or so. Schlupp and Simpson apparently available though.

You can all hang me...I rate Sean Dyche and Burnley will do well to keep him.

Also Dyche himself maywell need to step it up more , either by getting Burnley

consistently in a top 12 spot with cup runs, or take over some team like

Stoke before they get relegated. I believe hes got Burnley playing some good football,

even when they got relegated, they are just missing a couple of quality players, there base,

is not any poorer than city's, but might be struggling to find their own character or ethos.

Hull and Burnley could be the new boys knocking on the door...

ok dont hang me....you can shoot me...but Sunderland, Stoke, WBA, Leicester of old,

Everton before this season havent been threatening, it would be good backing for city's ethos

if Hull n Burnley could follow us and shake things up..

you do realise you can get 140% on your money for Burnley to stay up, the current interest rate is around 1%.

If you really believe what you have written, there is no excuse not to bet.

And, relatively speaking, LCFC have done - so where's the problem in speaking the truth?

Even though we had a good result in midweek the ghost of Liverpool still hangs over us we will not be given the same amount of time on the ball as we were against Brugge. We need to show a lot more energy around the pitch and not let burnley upset are flow of play.  Send out the same 11 from midweek except for Kasper if he's not fit and let's put in another good and clean sheet. 2-0 city please.

Ziegler, Simpson, Huth, Morgan,Chilwell, Mahrez, King, Drinkwater, Schlupp, Slimani, Okazaki.......

I think that sounds more like the team they will field against Chelsea midweek rather than today Vs Burnley. I appreciate players need rest however Leicester will be keen to get back on track today following a poor start to the season.

Vardy was substituted against Brugge so that he can play today. My guess is the same 11 that started against Brugge and then we will see them rested against Chelsea. (Only change maybe slimani to start on bench. I believe he was stared at Brugge due to his European football experience).

Because he's stating the bleeding obvious every single time. No other manager other than Dyche keeps bringing up ££££ spent by other clubs. He's a whining baby. It's almost a ready made excuse whenever he loses a match. He's a bore. Get on with it Sean. He's been doing it for years now.

If we lose at Old Trafford next week and Ranieri banged on about how much United have spent compared to us I'd be embarrassed.

If we win tomorrow I guarantee you Dyche will bring up the fact that we have a £16m player on the bench (Musa).

I randomly met Sean Dyche on a plane a couple of years ago - was taking the kids to Lapland and he was sat across the aisle with his children. He seemed surprised to be recognised but was very friendly and exchanged a few words with us about LCFC. Seemed very down to earth and nice.

Surely we can't play the same outfield with only two and three days rest between our matches? Shinji, Slim, Gray, Musa, King at least starting? Is Simpson injured? Benny, Was and Chilwell could get a look in, too.

Kasper's a doubt for tomorrow

Understand he is not playing and was not fit on Wednesday

Actually, since our next week midweek is in the cup again Chelsea, we should probably play all the u23s then and rest everyone else.

Burnley will be a much bigger test, especially for our defence, than Brugges.

Also, it's less the players are knackered now, but more they will be in the coming weeks, so we should think about rotation in expectation of that.
