As a Burnley fan of many years, Dyche is the best (or at least 2nd best after Harry Potts) Clarets manager since World War II.

Brilliant motivator, but he is not the greatest in the transfer market and has made more questionable signings (Jutkiewicz, Sordell etc) than good ones. He actually signed better players like Dave Jones, Tom Heaton and Scott Arfield all on free transfers when the club was skint in 2013/14.

Been quite impressed with former player Ben Mee a few times.

Thought he could've stayed at LCFC a bit longer in the period he was here.

"... and they've spent a fortune in the market this summer." Sean Dyche, yesterday.

If quotes were paraphrased from his press conference yesterday, literally the the sentence before that second quote.

He was on talksport on Thursday morning on Brazil's show, he said he would love to have money to spend when he was talking about signing Defour.

think we should use a completely different 11 to the players that started on wednesday.

imagine having to play football twice in the space of 4 days, my thoughts go out to them and their families,

2-0 straightforward home win.

I expect similar team to bruges, as everyone has stated Chelsea in cup will see 11 changes, I suspect the bigger test of the squad will be next weekend utd followed by porto on tuesday, as both teams a far sterner test than bruges and burnley and also we need 3 points today so resting players is not happening.

Wasn't he just a short loanee, not actually our player, short loan from man city.

Can see burnley sitting in for a draw, a frustrating afternoon ahead could be on the cards.

I'd have written this pre signing Slimani but I can see him being the player to break this duck we've got of the shithouse teams frustrating us.

We need to put a run of victories together and build the confidence up in the team but Burnley will not be a push over so we will have to fight for everything to get the victory and push on up the table.  3 points is what we need

Albrighton was hands down the best player on the pitch on Wednesday and we're starting to see the Mahrez of last season. I'm not convinced about our midfield just yet but a little more time and the knowledge we have the King in case I think most of the team picks itself and we're just as strong as last year.

The big moot point for me is Okazaki vs Slimani. For 30 something million you'd expect to start and first impressions are very good but can we sacrifice the work horse that is Okazaki without Kante on the pitch?

I think ink id like to see the same team as Wednesday with Simpson in if okay. I'd also like to see Schlupp on the bench if he's ready because the thought of musa and Schlupp coming on with bags of pace when burnley are tired fills me with confidence, as a back up plan.

Of of course we had a convincing win on Wednesday but I really think we need one in the premier league to set that precedent, so a two or three goal clear win would be very much appreciated today.

g'wan the lads!
