Got a good feeling about Amartey. Due to Drinky coming back, and the minor switch in formation/personnel and the fact it shouldn't be just him and King in there being torn to shreds should mean less responsibility. Reckon he'll be far more confident.

Must admit, I thought he was shockingly bad at the start of the season.

I'm still not convinced, but I must say he has improved massively - most noticeably with his forward passing.

He's a better option than Kingy and will only improve. Sadly he's gonna be off to AFCON alongside the Algerian lads Slimmo and Mahrez and the Nigerians Musa and Ndidi.

Musa and Ndidi are going nowhere

5000-1 Nigeria to win AFCON. Get a fiver on it bud.

I went in to put a fiver on it. Somehow the bookie talked me into £20. He seemed very happy as I handed over my readies'.

With Ndidi coming in, starting to think we may even be looking at a midfield three, such as Amartey, Ndidi and Drinkwater / Amartey, Mendy and Ndidi / Mendy, Ndidi and King. We're going to have some quality options in the middle of the park.

Amartey would work well in a midfield three, and the formation on Saturday also suited him.

Drinky and Ndidi (if he works out) will probably be the preferred midfield pair, with Mendy as Drinky backup, and Amartey as Ndidi backup. Can't see a midfield three, we've been dire everytime we played 433 including last season, and also we've got a million wingers wanting game time.

WHATTTTT!!! I had £100 on Nigeria to win, £20 on Musa being top goalscorer and £10 on Ndidi to win player of the tournament!! The bookie was so friendly I even put a fiver on Victor Moses scoring a Hattrick in a group match.

Bit more bite and hunger in his game, and looks more settled in a 3. Way to go but he could just be something special. Likely 180 mins in 48 hours too (cue red card in 10 mins). Fair play.

You're watching a different game to me then. He's utterly basic in everything he does.

Great energy from him again and love how he is giving instructions to the rest of the team. Still limited in what he is able to do technically, but he certainly is growing in confidence and think he could become a really good player for us.

If you think amartey is the problem here rather than the front three, you've probably got a ridiculous agenda to peddle...

He's not Kante, get over it.

Could we have better? Yes! Do we currently? No! Is he still better than you give him credit for? Yes!!

Your post after West Ham said it all. He play well but you just said you didn't care, you couldn't bring yourself to say he had a decent game.
