This is the point I'm making. Who in this team today has looked 'superb'? Fooks sake! It's a boring game full of Championship standard players. Amartey has been no worse than anyone, but offers nothing going forward. Nothing.

Just some proper quality in our midfield and we'd have beaten these today.

Our strikers are utterly isolated.

Amartey has done fine but he's got to have a shot once in a while ffs. He finds himself on the edge of the box in space and waits for a pass to become available.

Would've thought he covered more ground than anyone today. Good support for full backs throughout. Certainly not a performance to be knocked from him.

Absolutely,  that's his job and he's getting better week by week,  he's a kid thrown in at the deep end.

I thought the midfield 3 did okay today. Amartey was solid, Kingy was good and Mendy looked tidy.

Yes, the midfield did their job in the main. Especially in the first half we looked much better with a three as all could swap positions.

Sadly the second half will take the shine off what was another tidy performance from Amartey. Hes 21 playing in a struggling side and learning his trade.

If their job was to stick a foot in and to keep a clean sheet, they did fine.

If their job, as midfielders, was to get forward every so often to link up any sort of attacking play, they were woeful. The only time I saw King getting forward was the lovely cross across the box that should have been finished. Oh, and when Amartey basically shat himself and passed when he should have shot.

Thats about it.

Personally, I'd paid good money to go away and watch that rubbish, id want a refund.

As I said I'd if you expect a midfielder to be able to shoot you must think Kante was crap given his shooting was atrocious

i am liking him. He aint got a clue what to do in attacking situations but his tackling, interceptions and work rate is good.
